Them's Fightin'
Words |
Very rarely have I come across a game that stuns me, in a good way. Altough this one wasn't the best game I've played. It held my attention enough to write this review.
Graphics |
The graphics were the best part. Everything was so crisp and detailed, although there really only were two areas in the whole world of Frankfurter. But the battle graphics were extraordinarily well. Everything seemed to flow. I especially loved the cow that you fought, hehehehe, very good work. This creator has some very fine skills, and he did all of them in a black outline.

Storyline |
The storyline wasn't too great, considering the fact that it was a 48 hour game, and certain restrictions applied to it. But basically, Frankfurter the eel has lost his soap which he eats, and all the other eels eat, so he goes on a crazy adventure through what appears to be a machine world above the sea to find his lost soap.

Gameplay |
Gameplay was good. Although could've used work in certain areas however. For instance, the fights were very repetitive, one fight right after the other, no real establishing of character's personalities... Which is a major must I think, without personality, the game doesn't have the life that it could... But all the same, it was very challenging, too challenging at some points however, like the fighting.

Battle |
The game was mostly one great big battle. Thank goodness for the F4 button or else it would have been horrible to get past those things and could've taken hours to level up enough to defeat a single boss, which there were dozens of bosses, so you can guess my complaining on that was in good reason.

Map Design |
Maps were the strong point of the game. Because the graphics were so well done they made the game appeal and seem better than it actually was. However, different areas should've been added to show the player something new, because the same old thing gets very very old, like that machine city you walked through... Ugh...

Balance |
The game was very unbalanced! No healing items that I managed to find in the machine city whatsoever... And the fights were horrible to fight. Ugh, this game needs a makeover in the balance section. Just to get through bosses, besides, items make the game more strategic, I definitely request the placing of items.

Music |
Music was another one of the few good points of the game. Although it was ripped it was nicely placed. Every fight had it's own unique fight. Like the sub bosses had their own tune, and the big bad boss fights had their jamming tune as well. I enjoyed the music score more than other things, such as the fighting and balance...

Enjoyment |
I enjoyed it, only because of the graphics and the fact that you fight everyone's hated PBS star, Barney the dinosaur!!! Hehehehe. I've always wanted to kick that purple S.O.B's keister!
Final Blows |
Needs work in certain areas. But then again, the creator was in a rush when he/she made the game evidentally and obviouslly forgot or didn't have time to balance the game and make it more enjoyable. Other than the balance and the lack of storyline, the game was just fine.

Final Scores
Graphics: 10/10.0 |
Graphics were great. Not much else... Still loved that cow!!!
Storyline: 2/10.0
Not really any storyline at all... Obviouslly wasn't the stronghold in the making of this game, but is made up slightly with the graphics. |
Gameplay: 3/10.0 |
The gameplay is fair/poor. The balance really tore it down... It's a sad thing to do, but I have to get it a 3. It was horribly unbalanced...
Music: 7.5/10.0
Music was very neat. Although more of it would have been nice, but the stuff that was there was quite nice and suited the mood of the game... |
Enjoyment: 4/10.0
Like I said, the balance really knocked the game down. But even still, I beat the game, and enjoyed the graphics quite much. So I'll give it a fair score. |
Overall Grade:

Final Thoughts |

This game is alright. Just alright. The graphics and music are what make it what it is... alright... |
