It's good to see there's a tutorial for that. I did that ages ago for SNOWY.RPG, and Shizuma asked how I did it, I just said: I dither the image in advance so all color matches are exact.

You might find the numbers could be more meaningful if you made them logarithmic

Index with PS, convert back to 24bit RGB, import the result.
If this doesn't work, then you are indexing to the wrong palette. |
