1. You can make one yourself if you know how to use enemy bitsets, enemies, attack bitsets, and attacks (in advanced ways).
2. You mean outside of battle? That may happen in the future.
3. Heh, nope CD Audio may be a possibility in the future though.
4. Ehh, I doubt it'll happen, but that's a good idea. _________________

Here's a couple:
Visual notification of staus ailments ( I know this one could be hard, but you could go FFVI-style and just change one color of the pallette to change the color of the sprite's outline)
SetHeroExp() - since you, technically, can change the hero's level with SetHeroStat() and the number 12 for the stat, except none of your stats change along with it.
And, while prople continue to propose impossible updates:
Battlescripting!
More graphics/text boxes/tags/pallettes/letters/money/etc.
The entire engine moved to Windows and written in C++ and capable of creating a commercial-level game just by reading the mind of the gamemaker, thus freeing us up from any actual annoying effort. _________________ UP DOWN UP DOWN LEFT LEFT RIGHT RIGHT A B START |

"This is all, of course, impossible."
We really need a working "set hero level". Seriously. I know I've already said it, but it's very essential.
The exp thing? Yeah, I've suggested it a couple times. It would make CBS's so much easier...

EFGeise, summons are easily made as spells. I've told you about that.

About that, I honestly find it hard to believe you've used that all up. There are plenty of letters, and how ever much money (1 million, I think? It was much higher than the normal 32767). The only one on there that's even reasonable is the tags one, because there are only 1,000. You can have 32,767 of all graphics, as well as text boxes and palettes. What's a really big issue is having more maps (100) and items (255). _________________ Preserve OHR history! Do it for the children! |

I mean an actual summon like when everyone (except the monsters) leaves the screen, the summon does its stuff, then leaves and everyone comes back. |

There would be no point in doing it that way. It would just take more space in the editor file from other stuff, and you can still easily do the summon the other way and it would still work. I would do it that way if I ever had a game where I had someone who could summon. |

The point is I know that it would take up to much space and it won't happen, I'm saying I would like it if James could. And plus, even though Blazes has spent many a long hour telling me, how do you do a summon? I forgot. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go hide from the wrath of Blazes.
I'll be back later after I know Blazes won't find me. |

Basically, you make a powerful attack, with however you want it to look like, place a high MP cost on it, and set it so it has a delay time before actual execution. Oh, and don't forget elemental bitsets if it's an elemental summon. |

That's not a summoning spell. It's just an overpowerful spell. |

OK, then what did I forget? I've never made one before; I just came up with that since it's pretty much what PHC did for his summons in Walthros. |

You said however you want it to look like. You forgot it should look like the summon.
Actually, that's how most old games did it (the characters disappeared in some games, but that's irrelevant). Maybe MCW means to chain attacks together to form an animation sequence, but I've seen old games that only use one animation. Very few actually have anything different, and the one that comes to my mind is FFX (bleh!). _________________ Preserve OHR history! Do it for the children! |

Me, I'm working on it.
How about, instead of the normal attack system, James just make a simple attack size upgrade from 50x50 to 100x100 or higher, and have a 'heroes disappear' bitset _________________ Missing in Action

There are much better and more eyecandy-riffic ways of doing summons. Moog's Knight of Ages summon system was by far the best. I can't really remember all of the details of it, nor do I have time to type them right now. Maybe I'll tell you sometime in the future, else, I'd get that game and study the system if I were you.
I actually don't have that game anymore. I lost it with Dante. I also lost my version of the system (complete with a faked Poison (this was a year ago, James didn't have it implemented yet)!). Stupid Dante... |

I would like to see a "Paint shop pro" made by James Paige built into the O.H.R.RPG.C.E.. I bet he could do it, and I wish he would because I cannot
afford the REAL paint shop pro. |
