Out of curiousity, how many of you can hear music in OHR games?

I have two computers, one plays BAM without VDMS and one that plays with VDMS. So I guess I'll put down with VDMS....

Before I reformatted my computer whenever I'd load VDMS my OHR screen would just... and play like two lines of music and then freeze up the whole thing. I don't think VDMS is exactly the best, and PHC said it best when he said it slows it down a lot. But for me, VDMS is all I got... Oookay...

For me it doesn't play for a little, then plays the first part sped up and slows back down, then it works perfectly. VDMS is pretty wierd huh?

What version of VDMS are you running? I used to have that problem, but after downloading the newest version, BAMs play perfectly.

VDMS used to be unnecessary for me, but now it is. It works quite smoothly, however.

Be sure you have the latest version of VDMS, then go download FyreVDMS from the HRP site. See if that speeds things up.

I love VDMS! If you minimize it then put it back to normal OHR games run twice as fast! Great for playtesting.

... Oh, and it runs BAM sounds perfectly well for me.

I hate VDMS! If you minimize it then put it back to normal OHR games run twice as fast! Really fucks up your coordination when you're spriting or tilemapping in custom and accidentally press the windows key! It returns to normal speed after a while but it's still really annoying to wait for it.

Also, BAM works fine for me with VDMS.[/quote]

actually, it depends if win:me or win98 is on the computer. if it's win:me, then i can't hear bam regardless of what i do. if it's win98 (as it is right now), then i can hear approximately 4 or 5 of the 9 'voices' (notes?). it's always consistant which ones i hear and don't here... unforuntately it's usually either the melody, or the base/drums that drop out.

in case anyone wonders, the bams in w:p1 sound horrible this way. the _zelda bams just sound weird, while the metroidx bams aren't affected.

Actually, my computer speeds up twice as fast without VDMS after alt+tab, and it slows down to half it's normal speed occasionally WITH VDMS randomly.
