Take a screen shot in your game by hitting the print screen key that you should find in the top right of your keyboard usually. I believe this is the only way. It's like copy. Then you paste the screen shot into some external program. I use MS paint.
As for showing us the screen shot, you can upload the URL, so to speak. If you don't know what that means, let me try to explain how you can accomplish this. Save that picture of your screen shot. A Jpg always works for me. Even a bmp works, but I think those are a little big. Take that and put it on the internet with a host server. Castle paradox space is hard to get, so if you want to try getting space here, you should ask someone who knows how.
Then, when you are postuing it, you use the img button at the top of the console (that's what I call the tools in the posting screen) or type in (I know < img >link< /img > works as well. don't use spaces though.)

Well, you got part of it right. And please capitalize your "I"s. It gets on people's nerves if you don't.
PS: I am very glad that you have decided to do this. Good luck. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

Moogle1's right, your maptiles are pretty good. I'm not a fan of the trees though. As for the walkabout, it looks like you tried to squeeze way to much detail into a tiny area. The walkabouts don't need to be as detailed as the hero graphics, which is why (I'm guessing) you have this problem. Maybe just try to narrow it down to one basic color each of the articles of clothing (the pants, the shirt, and the guantlets). I don't know what's going on with the pants. _________________ My name is...

From what I'm seeing, It looks like he's using the wrong palette for his character.
Also try to lighten the gray in his shirt, it's way too big a jump in contrast.
With the pants, it kind of looks like a jacket or something tied around his waste... |

You're catching on fast, Culex. Are these trees, grass, and dirt tiles all you have done so far? The water looks a little flat at the moment. If you don't think you can do better, that's ok. Just pointing the flaws out. The good thing is the way the grass and dirt blends together. Very nice.
And what the guys are saying about your walkabout is right too, I'm afraid. He looks like a clown with all of those different colors all at once.
BTW: You're well on your way to getting a team together. Just getting a couple people to work on specific little parts for your game will do you a world of good. I would concider adding you to my list, but I am sort of out of OHR commission at the moment. I will be PMing you with more details in the near future. Keep it up.
PS: Hmmmm... I forgot this was story time... _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

thanks Le-roy I think me and you would make a great team=great game
Ps: Thats not water its the sky remember the ocean no longer exists, i might not look like it but he is on top of a mountain. I want to make the game very colroful like chrono cross, and I do not care what all of you say about my main character if you exactly see how detailed it is in the engine it is good, but wait till you see my battle pic for Kizer. It looks cool. |

I never thought I'd say this, but you're right -- the walkabouts look quite nice when you look at them on the right scale.
The trees are still awful, though. _________________

Maybe. So, it's the sky. Yes, I remember now.
Ok. In that case, I think it would be sweet if you could see other floting islands below his. That would give the game some more depth.
However, if you want me to help you with map tiles, you will have to wait a few weeks for me to get started. I am finishing up tiles for Worthy (you won't see him around Cp at the moment, but he's still an active client). Then I might do a few tiles for RPG_Realm's Fiend hunter. Perhaps I could put you third in line. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

Walkabout: Yah, kinda clown-like.
Trees: *WinceS* The gradients.
Everything Else: Very nice indeed. _________________ "I do believe your Squid exists. I really do, you know?" |

As Junair said, the trees tend to be a bit gradient.
So do the Clouds. You could attempt a bit of dithering (If you don't know what this is, check out Tsugumo's tutorial. It tells it in plain and simple English.)
I like the walkabout. (*Note, I blew up the screen you put in the post.) I really like the pose, with one leg bent. The only thing is that it gives me this vibe that I got from playing ZZT cutscenes with "portraits" I might just be trippin', cause it's late, but I guess I feel it because of the shapes of the limbs. There's not really much you can do about that.
It defeats the grid by quite a bit. The only thing I can say is the grasstile has a little L shape that continuously shows up, and right next to it, a kind of bat like shape (I'm sorry I can't come up with a better definition for these.)
Maybe my only wish is that you had a bit less monotony. Maybe have a nice big dirt patch that spans more than 1 tile. A slightly different idea for each tile type would be nice.
Very nice. If you need any help with music, I might be able to help you out. Just note, I tend to procrastinate a little. (But a deadline should probably fix that.) _________________ Calehay |

The trees and grass/dirt are totally different styles. Contrary to what some are saying, trees like that can work if you use a consistently simple/cartoon style. Either change the trees to better match the grass/dirt or change the grass/dirt to better match the trees. Oh, and even if you go with the simpler style, the trunks don't look any good. They should be thicker and shaded differently.
Speaking of the grass and dirt, they're rather griddy. I do not support use of the spray tool, but if you're going to use it, you need to spend more time fixing up the tiles.
I rather like the little red and purple flowers. The big red flowers look kinda weird, like they're trying to be the fire flowers from Mario Bros.
If you were on the top of a mountain and looked down, you would not see blue sky below you, you'd see the lower parts of the mountain and the land around its base (and some clouds if you were high enough). However, drawing all that stuff is pretty hard if you want it to look good. _________________ Locked
