If you read his backstory, you'll understand why there's sky there.

So it's like a floating island or something? Okay. However, he said it was the top of a mountain and yet the plane this guy is on seems to have no thickness at all. On the lower edge of the mountain/island there should be some kind of rock cliff or something. Otherwise it looks like he's just standing on a sheet of land.

thanks calehay i really would apprreciate your help in music is it cool if i tell you what i want? I do not want to be like the type that says do this or do that, you know what i mean. How about this I have a great idea since Leroy Leo is going to join after he finishes his business with other people why don't you become a member of Pixelsoft. I know from what i have its only a bit, but with the right people we can make this game go down in history. I want you to be my partner and as well as my friend.....

Ps: the people in this forum has had tons of fights lately, lets not fight, whatever we criticize with eachother lets be professionals about it and handle it like mature adults.

Those trees look much worse than the old one, though they could use some work anyway. Neither version had a tree like quality. They don't look rough enough.

Also, consider changing the color of the flowers in the flower bed to lighter pastel colors. They don't work very well as purple and red. The boulders are a little too round. Kind of unnatural.

I also like incredible the amount of tiny details you have here and there that just add to it, like the irregular coastline and the patches of dirt.

Hey. I can't help you directly with your graphics yet, so let me give you some more pointers, ok?

The big thing you need to fix is the shading contrast of the trees. The green shade goes up way to fast. especially in the center of the tree. It looks like green fire, actually. You just need to make it smoother.

Try making the tiles more lower down on the cliff face darker.

The trees need to bend more and become more dithered.

I don't know if this post if off topic or not, but look at the title of this particular thread and prepare to chuckle. "Eternal Origin.... Please READ."

Yet... There is not much story-wise that we can read. Did you come up with an update to this story besides the title, Culex?
PS: I think I see enough of the "PLEASE READ" signs in my school's hallways. Raspberry!

Did you save this as a .jpg? There's a lot of smudging going on that I don't think is supposed to be there.

From what I can see, you might add a bit of grass hanging off the first part of the ground. This might make it look a little more 3D.
If this is a JPEG, then your trees are definently still too gradient.
Otherwise, I think it looks good.

As for music, you can PM me a list, or if you feel so inclined, post it here.
Just note, I've had comments of my BAM orchestrating not being the best. My new computer makes BAMs sound like sh*t, but I'll see what I can do in that department.

I think the pic is low quality because it is in bmp, because when i test run the game the trees don't look that bright. I think the most important thing in a game is the story.

Ps#1: yes leroy leo i have worked on the story. Let me know when you can help me. I would appreciate its. It is hard to satisfy you peoples. Rolling Eyes

Ps#2: calehay thank you i will give you a list soon.

BMPs do not change the image quality in any way. They may appear different because of the contrast of the message board colors, though.

And, yes, we're hard to satisfy, but that only makes it that much more pleasing to do so. Wink

Can I get in on this too?

No idea what I'd do, but the only project I'm working on is one I'm still in really early planning stages on, and won't be able to even start to work on actual OHR stuff for two+ months.

I know what makes these guys tick, actually.

I can try to help you via PMs, if you want to send me what you have for your story so far, I can edit where ever you wish. If you want, I wouldn't be ashamed to co-write this with you. Just send me a PM some time when you get the time if you want to take me up on that. Keep in touch. Raspberry!
