Not even the most hardcore furries call things like Ninja Turtles furries. This is illogical.
You are correct. MOOGLE IS A PLANT. |
Guess what? I'm right. You're wrong. All though they would never call them furries, they are! Yay. |

If you say so...
Anyway, I don't want to start a war with PHC, because he would lose, and I wouldn't want that...
Anyway, more clothing folds...

Wow, we have certainly gone off topic... That's not good. That leads to topic locking. Topic locking is baaaaaadddddd, just like steroids.
Moogles are furries.

I suppose moogles are furries... in the same way bears are furries. _________________

On topic---------------------------------
Eggie: The way the cloth hangs is certainly improving. I also think you have an increasingly excellent grasp on color and hair highlighting.
However, the folds of the shirt are certainly crinkled a lot on top of the arm that is reaching. There are folds below, which are accurate. There's just too many on top. He either needs to iron his shirt or you need to pay more attention to how many folds are in an area. Simplicity is the best principle here. I struggle with too many folds too. Remember that the folds should bunch down and not up. It just doesn't look natural.
Off Topic--------------------------------
And I have compiled some research for the lot of you. Let's hope it gets the job done right.
Furry = A person who wants to make believe that they are an animal. What animal they want to make believe they are is entirely up to them. "Gillies" (lol), "Scalies"(lol), etc are all subdivisions of the Furry kingdom. They call it the "fur fandom" (Not the gillie fandom) for a reason.
Fursona = The fictional character that is an actual Human being's personal identity in the furry realm.
"Fuzzy" <- Just a word I made up to try and be funny. It is basically a "personified animal". It's a fictional character, but not someone's personal fursona. It's like a Moogle (which shows human-like characteristics, unlike a bear) or one of the Disney characters. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

Quote: | Idea: One big Eggie art thread, since you draw a lot really fast (similar to what Uncommon does) |
Idea: One Big Eggie Art Webpage! You draw so much that an enormous thread would just take up valuable room on CP. Why not create a seperate page with all your art and just link to it in your sig or profile? T'would be most convenient, I'd say.
Quote: | "Well, whatever. I have been trying to please people for a long time, including myself so just
take that in consideration, everybody."
"Also, about the eyes, I don't like them either. I was copying off of some popular girl on DA." |
When you say things like this, it makes me worry. If you would stop putting people on a pedestal, maybe you'd have more success, but that's just my opinion. Advice: Draw not to please people, but rather the principles of art itself! Don't let peoples' opinions and comments mold your art. Instead, use logic - it works wonders! _________________ Play Horrible Fantasy NOW! |

I like the shirt here except for the top of the raised sleeve, which is needlessly lumpy. The rest is ugly though. _________________ UP DOWN UP DOWN LEFT LEFT RIGHT RIGHT A B START |

Rolling Stone wrote: | If Eggie took art seriously he'd stop showing it around until it's any good at all. Nobody can argue this point: Eggie might be good ONE DAY, but right now he's producing basically garbage that serves no purpose beyond practice. |
Point 1: I beg to differ, my friend. Whether you were serious or not, this point is misleading. Now hear this: If one doesn’t present their art, bringing it out into the open, into the light, their art would get no serious 'looking at'. The artist might eventually see flaws, easily, on their own, sure,. I did, you probably do (did), but that takes longer for some people than others. Crit is an excellent catalyst, if the artist treats it with care and understanding. It's like a corrosive chemical, in a way.
Point 2: I do agree that DA is pretty much THE WORST PLACE to get good criticism, though. Half of the comments are just, "Good job!'" "This is awesome!'", "KAWAIIIIIIIII!!! '" Or, "OMG FAVED!'". Most of the people on DA only go there to show off, chat with fellow "artists lol" and view other people's art. And what do they not do most of the time? You guessed it. THEY DON'T POINT THINGS OUT. Although this is very general among the members, and I have noticed more people at least saying what they like about a work of art.. Not nearly enough, but it happens... From time to time.
Point 3 (Eggie read): If one person (even if several people) say(s) they don't like something, then ok. Not everyone in the entire world will like everything you do... If that were the case, you wouldn't need to post anything for any reason other than just showing off, guiding budding artists, or making some money off of your work. Until that glorious day, we all need an elevator. But if anyone says they hate your art, you are worthless, or you suck, don't freak out. Take your stuff to someone you know who can help you find any flaws in the art work in question, fix them, keep practicing. Remember; Just because a few of the eggs in a dozen are bad, doesn't always mean the whole carton is ruined. (No pun intended. Well; not really.)
Final point (4): Last, but certainly not least, not everyone HAS to click the links. If they hate a guy's art that much, they should know better. I don't press a hot spatula against my arm until smoke starts spewing out from under the tender flesh, because, quite frankly, it hurts... A LOT. Likewise, people don't need to keep clicking your page links. I like looking at and commenting on your progress, Eggs, so I look forward to see more improvements in the future. And I swear to say something worthwhile or say nothing at all.
I would also like to appologize if I came off as annoying, and for continuing this debate. Long posts are agravating. (Lol irony) _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

If you really wanted to apologize, you would do the right thing and kill yourself. I'm not going to forgive you until you're dead.

Eggie, in relation to your most recent artwork link, I have to say I'm impressed. I wish I could do that, lol; I mean, I like to think I can draw, but when it comes to colouring said drawings, I get lost and scared.
Anyway, I think it looks pretty nice. It's kinda cute, lol. Um ... moving along now. It's just my opinion, but I think that the lighting could use some adjustments (specifically around the head area; comparing the lighting of the head to that of the hair, it seems kind of contradictory to me). Then again, I may very well be crazy.
Okay, I've put in my two cents.
LeRoy_Leo: Very nicely said; and no, I don't think that would have been construed as "annoying". Sensible, perhaps, but not annoying. _________________ “Well. Think about it. Lots of things you can do with a stopwatch.†— Ianto Jones, Torchwood |

I love you too, man. You're upstanding, bright critisism always has put a bounce in my step and a twinkle in my eye. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

Not exactly constructive criticism there. I'm not saying be nice and peachy, just insult the art and not author. Rationally.
GOOD EXAMPLE:
"Her arms are fat like a wrestler's, and she has a little turkey gobbler neck!"
BAD EXAMPLE:
"Just die." _________________
