Is it possible to run OHRRPGCE and GAME.EXE in window mode ? I'd like to do this purely for visual reasons, since the computer screen I use to work on and play games is huge. I like the way OHR games look on smaller screens, almost like Gameboy games, so I want to know if I can do this.

I've gone into that properties file that is generated whenever one first starts up a DOS-based application, and even though I've tried everything, it still won't work. Are there any programs that can help me here ?

you can try dosbox if you are running winxp. other then that, it isn't possible to run ohr in window. It is, after all, a real dos application.

You can try the FreeBasic port (GAME.EXE only) it's not complete yet but may be within a few days (you'll have to wait).

Although, if you have a large monitor, it'll show up really small (it's only a 320x200 box!). You may want to lower your resolution since it can be kinda hard to see.

I used DosBox, and while the graphics were better, I couldn't ge it to run as fast as it should...

Oh well.

well, both DB and VDMS have a bit of command lag. The command lag in DB is shorter, however.

DOSBOX is currently the only way to do it, but the problem with that is because the OHRRPGCE hits the hard-drive so much (because it has to keep a low memory profile), takes a while to change maps, pull up the menu, etc.

Probably the only game I could stand to play in it was Wandering Hamster, since it uses few maps and doesn't require screwing around with the menu too much.
