ah, ed:t. a new version would go nicely with the new movie i heard was being planned. i haven't heard anything after that, so just consider this tidbit rumor.
i don't know what version's sitting on my computer without looking at it, but it did come off of rpg online. _________________ LJ.Art

Ok, no more secrets.
Instead of working an upgraded version of Take 2, I decided to push forward with the 3rd Take. It will now be known as Tales of the Evil Dead. The game will be a nearly complete revamp of Timeline. The cabin and swamp map are still there but nearly everything has been improved upon in some aspect. My goal here is to put to shame the Timeline versions and make something that feels more like a real game.
So in keeping with tradition of how games are advertised here are some bullet points about Tales of the Evil Dead:
-Play as Ash from the Evil Dead series (hurray!)
-In tradition of the films this will be a retelling of Evil Dead 1and 2 (with hints at Army of Darkness)
-No more 20 minute gameplay! It’s been upped to an hour baby!
-New levels, enemies, bosses, items, music, and lots of blood (because blood makes a game good, right?)
-An assload of weird secrets to keep you playing until your eyes crack and bleed!
-The three I’s are present: interaction, innovation, and interploxitationariliously!
-New frantic gameplay elements to keep those panties moist!
-Still hard as hell, but fair.
A couple of other things I like to note is that I scrapped the original storyline for something more Evil Dead-ish. Don’t expect an intricate plot for it is just you and Ash trying to survive until dawn. Like in Timeline I’m still sticking to the survival horror RPG roots mixed with adventure gaming aspects. It won’t be needlessly complex but I'm definitely making sure it won’t be a walk in the park. Expect several moments of “How in the #$@^ am I supposed to beat this bossâ€! But if you keep your eyes on the details you should find a way through.
This will probably be the final Evil Dead release. As such I want it to be as fun of a game as I can make it in a short amount of time. Originally I was just going to keep this a secret until I release it but because I wanted to learn plotscripting (my last release was made before it was implemented) and add more stuff I am going to have to push the release to an unknown date. It will be soon so don't expect to wait months.
So for right now refer to my sig to see how far my progress currently is. And to keep the wait less painful here are some pics of Tales of the Evil Dead:

There's no part of that sentence I didn't like.
Looking forward to this as well.
Also, good to see someone from the early OHR age come back. Nice to meet you. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

Crazy! I think evil dead was one of the first games I played on the ohr. Thrilling to see youre working on a new version.
What field are you planning to enter the games industry in? If you need some hints on what to do and not do drop me a line.
