|
|
Okay, I just re-updated Hero's Journey, and I'd quite like a new review (the old one by Iblis was made over three updates ago). However, the game is quite long (over 15 hours, I'm thinking), so this really doesn't belong on Chaos Nyte's post. In return, I'd like to find a good, long RPG from one of you guys to review. Is there anyone willing to pull off this kind of review exchange with me?
EDIT:
I just figured I ought to point out that I often do not use the internet more than two or three times a week, so I might not be able to answer your reply right away, but I will get to it, and I really am looking forward to playing a long OHR RPG. |

Hi! It seems like this game of yours is intended to be in the old school Dragonwarrior style. I find this interesting since me and my brother have also made an OHR game inspired by the very same NES series. I'll play through you game and try and write a review.
In exchange it would be nice if you played through our game: "Zander-english version". The original version is in swedish and some of the dialogue quality may have been lossed in the translation but I think you'll find it fine anyway... _________________ "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools."

It would be good to see anyone review any game. I don't know when it was added, but there's only been one new review since november (the second last review has its date)
By the way Leo, the links in your signature are dead.

Actually, I just decided to start playing Zander now. It's not too bad, and the story is pretty enjoyable, but I won't review it. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

Thanks for noticing, I fixed it now. Even if you won't make a review, feel free to point out bugs and wierd translations/spelling mistakes... _________________ "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools."

Actually, I already played and reviewed the English version of Zander! That was a little while ago; have you updated it since then? I remember seeing that the Swedish version was updated, but not the English one. I was actually quite disappointed that I could not continue playing.
If you are planning on playing Hero's Journey, I would ask you to wait a couple of weeks. I have a new update just about ready, with a new intro, new maptiles, and more stuff, but I am waiting for a stable OHR with a mute status affliction to release it. If they manage to fix up the 'percentage-based attacks should allow elemental modifiers' bug, then that will be even better.
EDIT:
There are several grammatical mistakes, especially concerning pronouns (if I remember correctly). If I still have the game on my computer, I may replay it and try to keep track of these mistakes, if you wish. |

Wait, what review is a year in the making? Are you reviewing Hero's Journey? Or Zander? In any case, I am still open for anyone who would like a long game reviewed in exchange for Hero's Journey. Actually, if you have a long game you would like reveiwed, ask regardless. I might be intereseted. |

Oh! That was you who made that review! Sorry, msw188 is not a very easy nick to remember. Well, forget it then. I'll play through Heroes Jorney, though and see if I have enough opinions for a review.
Leroy previously promised me to make a review of Zander, so that's problary what he's talking about.

Again, I'd like to request that you wait a couple of weeks (I have an update basically done, but I need some things that will be in Tirgoviste). In particular, the intro will be added to, and there have been some changes in graphics. |

Okay, finally got the upload completed, so there is a new version of Hero's Journey up. The only problem now is that that picture no longer exists in the game. I'll have to remember to get a new screenshot (this is something I always forget, though). Once more, reviews are certainly welcome, and if anyone else has a long game for me to play, let me know. Although it will probably have to wait - I am currently attempting to beat FFIII with no Espers (its just not fun anymore otherwise; way too easy). |

Okay, I know that this thread is fairly old, but why start a new one to say essentially the same thing?
In a couple weeks or so (hopefully less) I'll be re-updating Hero's Journey. This will hopefully be the last update before the final version (or maybe second to last, we'll see). Regardless, I'm once again asking for a new review (did Leo ever get around to one? Is he still here in the community at all?). But the game is really long (we're now looking at about 25 hours, I'd say), and its essentially nothing more than a standard RPG (with a plotscripted casino!... that you can't reach until a good 15 hours in or so). If no one wants to play and review something like this, I understand.
BUT...
I DO want to play and review something like this. No more 'exchange', or whatever. I am asking if anyone can suggest a relatively long (at least five hours of gameplay) RPG to be played and reviewed. Preferrably something that hasn't been reviewed more than once. Also, preferrably something in the 'classic RPG' vein, that is to say, I expect to fight random battles, be required to gain a level here and there, etc. Of course, these are just preferences, and any recommendations are welcome. |
