Ysoft you are getting better I'll say that. I think the drawing would look better if the hair was more well placed. The fact that everything isn't just line tool makes me feel much better. _________________ Indy OHR! and National OHR Month Contest going on now!

Are you CRAZY Battle? What does his using the line tool or not have to do with making a good piece of art? If he hadn't looked at the screen, and had just sat on his keyboard, and taken a screenshot of the resulting chaos, would that make you feel thrice as good? |

Well here is my latest face I drew.
I know I got the anatomy right to a certain degree, but tell me what you think?
Battle, if you have enough skill I don't think it matters what tool you use, be it line or a pencil. I can coordinate line tool better then a pencil tool, thats why I use it. True it takes twice or more times as much time to get the right curve with a line tool, but thats ok I guess. _________________ Try my OHR exporter/importer.

Straight lines don't work too well on natual things and animals. I really would strongly recommend the pencil tool.
The proportions are a little better, but they're still off. Shrink down the jaw line, eyes, and ears a bit. Imagine how he would wear glasses when aligning the ears.
Edit: Notice the size of the jaw line in my avatar and compare it to the size of the mouth in comparison hehe. |

I think you mean that you got all of the face parts on the face. As Shaede mentioned, that is a huge jawline. No one's face is shaped like a water balloon.
This is significantly better than your previous attempts, but the eyes are downright creepy. If you're dead set on using the line tool, try drawing a picture in your style from a photograph -- that is, of an actual person. If you pay attention while doing so you are very likely to produce a convincingly-proportioned face. _________________

So the rock and the caligraphy brush are one in the same.

Gotta agree with you on this PHC.
Heck some people used animals blood and a stick to draw, some used charcoal. So like I mentioned earlier, if you have enough skills, you can make art with anything.
while I am at it, here is the modified pic of Legota

Whoa, whoa, the chin line's better, yeah, but why'd you move the ears down? They were fine where they were -- a couple of pixels high if anything. With the ears in that position, it also looks like he's bald on the sides of his head.
So, here's something you might try, even if your hand drawing sucks as you claim. Draw kind of an oval with about the same aspect ratio as an egg. Draw a line about halfway down it. That's the eye line. Draw a line halfway down from there. That's where the bottom of the nose should go. Draw a line halfway down from there. That's where the mouth goes. As for the ears, on a normal person, the eyes will be just above the earlobes. Try putting your fingers to the sides of your eyes and pulling them back until they touch your ears.
Hope that helps someone. I'm done here. _________________

Just be careful about the oval so you aren't staring at the top of his head. _________________ "Everyone has 200,000 bad drawings in them, the sooner you get them out the better."

now let's work on the proportion of those eyes. they're way too huge, and much too scary for a normal person. i think, though, that if you take away that bottom line, they'll look a bit better. it adds nothing, and basically just looks like eye liner. _________________

point in case. This guy paints on feathers instead of paper. o.o
Also, the head is better. The large eyes is just part of a style you're using, and I think it's alright. As long as it is visually apealing to some people you don't need to worry. I embrace the different styles people have. Manga style is a little over used though, so large eyes are a bit cliche now days'. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

I will probably post the last mod for Legota after I redo the eyes completely. _________________ Try my OHR exporter/importer.
