I recommend using Nullsoft's installer-builder. It's free and very widely used. _________________ Tower Defense Game |

Thx. I have figured out the problem with the first installer and am now working past it. If I have anymore troubles, I'll let you know. I should have it from here though.
OK. It has finished but just made an iss file on my com and there's no folder called output. Is ISS the finished compiled file I need for my installer? _________________ Carpe Diem

Here's the real question.
Can we check out your game? _________________

Like I said it's not very elaborate or anything. And I did steal most of the graphics. But I'm not gonna like post it on the net or anything (well... I might). It was mainly just for me and my friends. Here it is! _________________ Carpe Diem |

Alright. I won't criticize your game or anything since you aren't looking to make anything better than this anyway, or expect us to like it. _________________

Why do you allow the hero to run away from every single battle?
With its ripped graphics and scary palettes, this project wouldn't do too well if you released it here in its current state.
However, I believe that your friends will enjoy this very much and react along the lines of:
"Wow! You programmed a dude to move and fight! I am impressed!"
Oh, and the extremely high enemy encounter rate is high enough to scare anybody away. You might want to tweak it a bit ;) |

Yeah, the current state the game is in is... Not too professional.
But you have to realize that using the OHRRPGCE is not programming directly. It's just using an application that someone else (actually, multiple people now) programmed so you won't have to program. Making people think you actually programmed the game from scratch can be... Misleading.
I want to tell you to get over ripping graphics and make your own, or even get a friend to help with graphics if he is interested, and I'm sure there are a lot of people that want to give tips on how to make your gameplay and maps better (which the latter isn't hard, given the sheer horrid lack of substance), but I somehow doubt that we'll convince you that you want to make more than a game for friends (no offense, but I actually think it would be more beneficial to show your friends some of the awesome games that other OHR users have made so they can see that the engine can pull off FFIV-like games). _________________
