Hmmm, this reminds me... rinku also complained about the music being static-y, but I didn't gave it much thought since none of the other playtesters reported such thing. I figured his soundcard is wonky or something. I guess I was wrong.
As for the text pausing for a while... well, I think that's the drawback with using GM. It's a complete memory hog. It doesn't really matter how simple the game is, it still requires a semi-decent computer to run. People have complained about this on the forum, but it doesn't look like Overmars is going to do anything about it soon. Try pressing ctrl + alt + del and check the CPU usage Fedora Spade takes. It's pretty crazy. I suspect this also has something to do with the static-y sound.

I also always get static in any Game Maker game that uses midi. I think it's a problem with the Game Maker, which is why I urged Orchard to use ogg for this game instead of midi (but he wants its dl to be small or something). _________________ Tower Defense Game |

The same static occurred in the First Chapter?
Hmm. I guess I just wasn't paying any attention to the sound when I was playing through it. |

I didn't see that two episodes were already released almost over two months ago, but now I have finally had a chance to play it!
As always, excellent work from Friend.
I noticed the static noise too. I figured it was just my soundcard, because ever since I got a new sound card update file thingy, sounds just sounded weirder like that.
But what can I say? Episode one was a good introduction, and Episode two was a lot of fun and took a bit of detective work. I wonder who 4471 is though? When will episode three come out?! _________________ http://www.castleparadox.com/gamelist-display.php?game=750 Bloodlust Demo 1.00

I've been working on episode 3 for a while. I think I'm about 60% done with it. By my own estimation, I should be done by December or earlier. Releasing it is another matter though, there's the playtesting and the fact that the game's still missing a couple of tunes.
I don't really know what's causing the scratching. Apparently GM's support for MIDI files is questionable at best. I have resolved to using OGGs for the future cases. _________________ "I am Collins. Okay, sounds like OGG is not an option either. I ended up using MIDIs again. Anyway, I just uploaded fedora spade episode 3 to http://www.studioeres.com/games/fedora yesterday. It's longer than the second episode and contains two new notable features: the skip button and the Input Keyword gameplay. The skip button should be self-explanatory. As for the other new feature... you will be asked to input names/dates/objects manually during various points of the games. The questions are fairly easy, but they can easily stump you forever if you don't pay attention to the details.
You can find screenshots of the game here:

Wow, Orchie. Wow.
You know I've been one of your biggest fans.
Hope I get to find the time to try out these games. _________________ The man who smiles when things go wrong has thought of someone to blame it on.

Well, It's been slow these past few days, so I hope more people will check it out. Anyway, I just checked my paypal account over and I think I owe xerian a hug or something. Thanks, man! _________________ "I am Collins. From my position in the moon's orbit, I watched Armstrong and Aldrin land and walk on the surface.
