Ever since the new engine with sound effects(Ubersetzung) the 'Scan' ability doesn't work! It just ends up saying "0 HP left." I don't know why I'm posting this other than to mention how sad it is. My RPG was going to make that a big part of it. Neutral

Can you describe how you made your scan ability?

Oh, the usual way.

Do '100% of current' damage to HP
"Show damage instead of inflicting it" bitset
Never miss, etc.

Are you sure it was 100% damage and not set to 100%? I don't think the bitset for percentage damage (opposed to percentage setting) existed before ubersetzung.

I would suggest an attack that does "set = 0%" with the "show damage instead of inflicting it" bitset.

Oh, really? Oh! Ok, I'll try that.

I thought that I got it off of Wandering Hamster, though. Skeppio has that ability LebenSuche that worked perfectly, and I thought I copied it. 0% does make more sense though. That's probably where I went wrong. I'll try it...

Nope. I tried it. I did it exactly like Wandering Hamster's, and it still says "0 HP Left" in battle.

I'll check Wandering Hamster to see if it works too.

In wandering Hamster, "LebenSuche" is just a no-damage animation that chains to "Life Left", which does the real display.

I was about to start taking screenshots for you, and then I realized that I already had.

I know, I meant that that was the name of the attack. I did the same thing on my RPG, making an attack called 'Scan,' and chaining to one that says "HP Left."

And I tried it in Wandering Hamster with Rathmara and it doesn't work either. It still says "0 Life Left"

So it must be something with the new version. I distinctly remember it working when I first played it. Do you want to check it out?

I tested Rathmara's LebenSuche this morning, and it worked perfectly for me.

Very strange... Something more complicated must have gone wrong. :(

Yes, I will look into it: '' . bug_title('583') . ''

Abelhawk, what version of GAME are you using? Did you download the new Voxhumana release?

If you're double-clicking on the RPG file to start playing it, try double-clicking GAME and browsing to the RPG file instead. It's possible that Windows thinks it should be using an older version of GAME somewhere else on your computer.

Yes, I'm definately using Voxhumana.

Which is odd, because I distinctly remember it working before I downloaded Ubersetzung.

I never double-click the RPG, if that helps. So it's not a problem with that.

So it works with you, huh? How weird...

Just reporting that this "bug" still occurs in Xocolotl. While fixing the buglist for Vikings, I've discovered that even by following the guide for it the attack still doesn't function, instead displaying a "0" for damage. This works the same when HP is set to 0% or 100% of current damage.

I don't get it. This works for me. It always works for me. Rathmara's Leibensuche in Wandering Hamster works. I have tested this on both Windows and Linux.

Just now I edited Vikings of Midgard, and I changed Owl Eye to set to 0% and that fixed it for me.
