|
|
Hi guys, I was wondering if there was a way to flip between sprites while editing them instead of having to escape to the interface above in order to select a different sprite.
Specifically speaking, if I am editing a hero sprite, and I'm looking to edit or view the adjacent sprites, is there a shortcut available that allows a person to do this without having to go back to the sprite selection screen?
Thanks for taking the time to read this! |

There's not. I guess it could be added, except that so many key combinations are already used in the sprite editor that it would have to be some unusual key.
You could always just close your eyes and press esc-left-enter really fast. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

If you are in a windows-ish environment, you can take a screenshot of the sprite you are trying to use for reference, and open it in a separate window in MS Paint or something like that. That is what I'm doing for copying some of the enemy graphics from Tales I over to Tales II. _________________ My first completed OHR game, Tales of the New World:

A bit unrelated but I wanna switch between attacks / heroes / monsters without having to go up to the id line and press left and right additionally to that. :x _________________ Snippy:

You can already do that for attacks and enemies. Just hold ALT anywhere in the attack editor or the enemy editor, and you can then press left or right or type in an ID number.
Similar support for the hero editor and other editors will be added eventually. |

I'd like some more suggestions for possible search criteria please.

I suppose that would be good too. Maybe they could preview when hovering the mouse over them. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

I filed '' . bug_title('578') . '' awhile ago. I'd be content to just be able to search names on attacks and enemies (and, hey, why not, heroes), but a more thorough search wouldn't be bad either.
But rather than that, I'd like to see some love on the other bugs I've filed, especially the ones that are bugs and not feature requests, especially '' . bug_title('625') . '' and '' . bug_title('598') . '', which should be one-line changes.
If you're looking to do something more in-depth, the most popular feature request is '' . bug_title('391') . '', with five votes. _________________

You can copy graphics between rpg files with ohrgfx, the only thing that doesn't get copied are the palettes of the graphics. _________________ Try my OHR exporter/importer.
