I'm making some similar enemies and heroes, but I'm really not psyched about putting every stat and bitset in over and over again for each one. So is there a way to just copy and paste entire heroes or enemies into a blank hero or enemy?

Or is there any way to place more than one of the same hero into the game? I doubt this is possible, but just thought I'd ask.

No, but that would be extremely helpful. It'd be great for making a template with a "baseline" for stats, then copying them over to the other hero/enemy slots, and modifying them slightly.

Yeah it would. Guess I have a lot of menial stat inputting to do then.

I thought maybe someone would have some kind of crafty work-around for it, or a program that would make it easier. = /

Oh well, I knew it was probably a shot in the dark, but hopefully something that can be implemented in the future.

This sounds like it might be a possible feature for Yggdrasil. I'm not a programmer, though. Just speculating.

Yeah, it's needed really badly in lots of different menus. There's a feature request or two filed on bugzilla. It shouldn't be that hard, hopefully someone will remember to get around to it soon.

And yes, you can have any number of copies of a hero in the party (up to the total limit)

I'm pretty sure it's possible to get multiple copies of the same hero in your party... though I don't know whether or not that might cause problems with hero-related plotscripting commands, or even the textbox "add/remove hero" commands.

EDIT: Whoops, a couple minutes too late there.

Oh, I didn't even try. I just thought I remembered not being able to. Can anyone tell me if it does mess up plotscripting? Is there a way of distinguishing between the copies?

I was going to suggest this, but then I thought he wanted to be able to copy/paste heroes in the editor and slightly modify them rather than just copies of the same hero, which is a different approach.

When specifying a hero to a command you will need to always use their position in the party. This means that you shouldn't use commands like findhero! All commands that operate on a individual hero use the party (or catepillar) position so that they can work with multiple copies of a hero.
