Hello! It's been a while~ I am now moved, unpacked and going to school! (yay) and thoroughly enjoying myself, I might add. So, this is my first week (started on Tuesday) and for our assignment we made elephants~! (YAY) so I just wanted to share because I thought it was cute for a first project~
I'm using XSI for the modeling.

Very nice! What sort of reference did you work from?
Although and elephant is good luck if its trunk is raised! :) |

This looks excellent. I can't wait until you texture it.
I especially like how you added the extra details in the trunk instead of just making it smooth like the reference line. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

I don't think we'll be texturing it. I know on Tuesday we're texturing our model of a TV, but I thing the elephant project was just to familiarize ourselves with the tools from XSI. We also won't be rigging the elephant . But I'm excited to get to it~! _________________

Thanks you guys.
I textured my TV and it turned out A-OK:
This week we got a huge assignment though ^_^;; We're doing an enclosed environment. We have to find paintings of the interior of homes/caves then make 'em 3D, I chose a hobbit hole. I think I'll be texturing that~ But I'm having a hoot (sometimes I get frustrated) and I'll post it when I finish~! _________________

Noice choice of topic. Ah, I remember 3D design class. Good times. I liked working with organic things more than inorganic things, though. More challenging. But when it comes to complex scenes, that's TOO challenging for this lazy bastard *pats self on the belly*. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

AAAAAAAAAAND SHAZAM! It's the due date of my Hobbit Hole (thank gosh we didn't need to texture it)
the original picture I used is here: http://www.lordotrings.com/images/art/nasmith1.jpg
Not quite the same... but I did my best.
Also! It's a'boot' time I showed some texturing haha (booo) so here you go~!
I'm working on a Car next. The model is a Mitsubishi 09 Lancer GT (my big bro's car... my other one. Not Cube) So keep on checking on me ^_^! _________________

I love the texture of the boots, but is there a bumpmap for the gator skin texture?
Fascinating detail on the Hobbit Foyer. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

We haven't gotten to bump mapping yet ^_^ this is plainly for us to get used to unwrapping our thinga ma jingers properly and making sure they won't stretch the images what we put on them. (unwrapping by hand takes foreva!) _________________
