I am making a game (obviously) and i am terrible artistically. i can handle the system but I was hoping someone might be able to help me with map making and (less importantly) spriting. It is a ninja game, which I intend on making very large. We intend on selling the game and 10% of any and all profits will go to whoever does the graphics. Plotscripting knowledge is a plus but not required. please pm me if you are interested |

I'm not volunteering, just a couple comments. If you're looking to recruit someone you should definitely also try at www.slimesalad.com since there are more people there. Also you're more likely to have success if you show any previous work you've done to try to demonstrate you can follow through; at least give more information about the game to try to entice someone to help you make it!
Trying to make a game you can sell is an admirable goal; best of luck. 10% for whoever does tilesets and maps (I think that is what you meant) seems very low though. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

We're allowed to sell our games now? I thought they all had to be free. o.o _________________ "There will always be people who will tell you they hate what you made, or like what you made, and will tell you that what you did was wrong or right."

You always have been able to sell the games you make with the OHR... except maybe in the early 4 map days?
Maybe you're confused by the GNU GPL (Free Software) license that the engine itself has. That only applies to the .exe files, not to games.
But many (most?) other game engines which are GPL really do require you to release your game under the GPL (or at least all the code), because they don't have a separation between the engine and the game/scripts/data. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

I'm glad I asked. _________________ "There will always be people who will tell you they hate what you made, or like what you made, and will tell you that what you did was wrong or right."
