3m strips, while I'm sure this is indeed "deap" stuff, you really should contribute something to the thread if you intend to revive it. Just keep that in mind next time, ok?

Also, to clear things up, I didn't say the real world didn't exist. I'm just saying waht my retarded philosophy class taught me. I pretty much think the same way most people responded...it's a load of bull. Raspberry!

The answer, ultimately, is yes.

The internet is as real as letters or telephone calls, at least. I personally have always been better at communication through text than through vocalization and body language (yes, even when I was a 17 year old first making a mess of these very forums with my poor communication skills). I don't really ever "get" people in the offline world the way I get them online.

I do sometimes find sarcasm barriers - unlike eye position or posture, tone of voice communicates a lot (and with some people I know, I have a really hard time telling if they're being sarcastic even in person; my dad is one such individual).

There are innate advantages and disadvantages to electronic textual communication (ability to edit making it easier to clarify and articulate what you mean the first time around but also granting the potential for abuse; eye strain from the lights of the computer, which is the reason dark mode always kicks bright mode's butt in terms of visual appeal).
