I'm sure you all realize it's getting close to October 1st, and traditionally, we start the Halloween Contest about then, but what with the 168 hour winding down, and the Epic Marathon Contest coming out of nowhere, I'm wondering if anyone really cares to have it go on. This'd be the 3rd annual contest, at least since I've started hosting, and it's become somewhat the highlight of my year. As always, we'd do the same judging system, 0-10 in three catergories: Scariness,Creativity, and Fun, with the public voting. I don't think I have prizes per se, but the winner would get bonus points in whatever contest I host next.

We are interested! My partner and I have a game already in the works for this contest.

Yes, I could be. I failed in the 168 because it was too short, and won't do the Epic because the end of it clashes with NaNoWriMo, so maybe a halloween competition would fill the gap nicely.

Oh man, perhaps I'll enter into this again, but actually release something! Besides, you've gotta have this; so many great games have come from the previous contests.

As much as I'd like to do TQ: Return of the Jews, I'm tied up at the moment.

Anyone else who wants to make it can, though.

It's the first, CP's up, and god willing this hot dog stand can start rolling. I don't remember what I've covered and haven't covered, so if anyone's got questions, I'll handle 'em, but for the time being, I'm tired and just want to die.

Okay, you have until November 1st, 11:59 PM. That means you can go out to parties, or trick or treating, or whatever on Halloween, and still have time to finish your entry, and get it into me. Teams of any size are allowed, enter as many times as you like.

There's no .rpg file to download, I'll trust that you started on the 1st if you say you did. I don't know that there's any of the usual suspects (Scary Game, Halloween Quest, Shadey Night) this year, so I think we might be able to skip the started early category this year. If a lot of people enter games that were made early though, we'll open that competition.

There's no theme per se, but the goal is to make the scariest game possible. After the entries are in, and you've had a few days to play everything, we'll start voting November 4th through November 7th. Votes will be made in three categories, with a slight change from last year. Fun and Creativity will be any number between and including 0 and 10.

Scariness will be judged on a wider scale of any number between and including 0 and 20. Any voter must grade and play all entries.

Good luck to everyone.

I'll do it. And it'll go better than last year's entry.
