OH GOD...
Oh God. Ok.
I'm going to do this.
I'm going to try to finish The Local Gods for the contest.
I will.
Try.
And here's my game journal. Hopefully knowing that someone could pop by the shop at any moment will encourage me to work harder. _________________ 'I imagine that imagination is more important than knowledge, but I don't know.' |

Awesome! :)
I have updated the list of contestants.
I also updated the rules in the first posting to clarify a few things which were previously ambiguous.
Any further questions, let me know. |

Hell. I'll take a shot.
I'm going to make Joe Man.
If I don't, no loss for anyone. If I do, I win the money. I sure wish I found out about this contest before. _________________ "Everyone has 200,000 bad drawings in them, the sooner you get them out the better."

I'd like to enter my game "test of normality" too, this comp is good motivation to finally get something finished. |

Bloody hell the Blender community isn't as helpful as I would have hoped. Anybody know a thing or two about Bullet Physics? _________________ "Everyone has 200,000 bad drawings in them, the sooner you get them out the better."

You're going to have to be more specific. _________________

Bullets will not fly through a 10-inch thick wall of gelatin. |

I believe you mean ballistic gel. Normal gelatin will not stop a bullet.
You could have a 10 FOOT thick wall of gelatin in front of you and a bullet will still kill you. |

Since you are talking about blender, I assume you mean realistic 3D bullet physics... about which I know nothing... other than that they aren't really any different from the physics of any other moving object...
*googles*
Oh! Wait! You are talking about the Bullet Physics library! I understand now.
So it looks like bullet is built in to blender... but if the blender people are being unhelpful, maybe you would have better luck asking around in a bullet forum. (there are a couple listed at the bottom of that link) |

Well, I am gonna submit new game for this contest. Name is Kana Learning. Basically teaches you first 2 Japanese alphabets.
So if I finish it on time, I will submit it, if not then oh well. _________________ Try my OHR exporter/importer.

Sounds a lot like Slime Forest to me.
And what part about this contest's purpose being to finish old games is so hard to grasp? The rules have to be bent over backwards and twisted into pretel shapes to allow for entirely new, never-before-released games to count. _________________ "I didn't start the flame war;

Of course they count, the purpose of the contest is simply to make a finished product. However, original entries are not eligible to win "most improved." Read the rules.
No, no, a little lower.
See where it says "Rules"?
Right below there.
What I don't get is that you have such an objection to James, who, by the way, is throwing out cash for this, accepting entries that don't fit *your* understanding of the rules. It's his own bloody money you dolt. _________________ "Everyone has 200,000 bad drawings in them, the sooner you get them out the better."

Yea, that one is rpg game, what I am making is a quiz game.
By the way, for anyone who cares, I finished drawing all of the kana, thats 208 characters, plus their pronunciations in latin letters(the one america uses), thats a total of 312 letters. And I used medium enemy graphics for this. _________________ Try my OHR exporter/importer.
