Why didn't you post that in the thread then, instead of "No good can come of this thread". If you'd posted "This thread is a scam! It's not Leroy, he's told me in PM, and so this thread will be closed before his name is dragged through this mess (Not that there's anything wrong with that)!" it would've been much better than "No good can come of this" Which makes it seem like you just don't want to deal with a debate on homosexuality.

Or am I just getting totally the fuck confused?!

Depends on how off-topic the innuendo is. You can NEVER shut down all the off-topic posts, they're part of what a forum runs on, especially without a General DIscussion forum. For the most part, a little off topic is okay. But if the thread gets off it's original topic entirely, you can warn them, and then if they continue to veer off topic, you can move all the offending posts to a separate thread. (Please don't do like some of them, and move everything to the ParadoxLounge forum. That's annoying as hell.). If the avatars are PORNOGRAPHIC, like what Moogle described, get rid of them. If they're like CN's, IM's sig, or even Riz's, which are sexy and suggestive, but not actual nudity, then I say let them keep them. Seriously folks: We're trying to ban Alf with an erection? I think it's time we stopped, and looked at what we're doing, and make sure this is the right path we want to be taking.

I've yet to enforce anything, and the other admins (besides Shadow) are doing nothing. Those avatars were changed out of peer pressure, not moderation. Also, off-topic is off-topic, and sometimes it takes up close to half the thread.

Machu, acceptable off-topic, would be if Veld posted art all of a sudden, and people were greeting ihm, and asking him where he's been. Unacceptable off topic, can be found in the Art forum's Start Menu thread, where myself and JSH have completely highjacked the thread. By the way, I find this thread is inappropriate for this forum, as this forum is about what we WANT to see, not what we DON'T want to see.

It's not. I've poured over all the forum rules, etc, and the only places on CP where any rules I've found regarding Pornography are (oddly) located in the Furry Forum, and also in that submission for the forum rules which never got the go ahead to be made official. Regardless of this, it's been the precedent to make it known in the post that whatever it is is not "worksafe", and to remotely link to it, instead of directly showing whatever it is. The standard Moderator/Admin action has been to simply make whatever it is a remote link and put "EDIT: remote link for worksafe warning" or something to that effect.

I would SERIOUSLY like to have the ability to 'tag' posts, forums, threads, etc., with a red coloration, which should send up an alarm of types to our users, essentially letting them know that a particular thread, etc is not 'worksafe'.

Only that this is bound to happen again eventually and someone will just have to fix it, but then again, that's why you were made an Administrator.

EDIT: I think. At any rate, I definately DO agree there should be an option to disable avatars. We can already disable the signatures, so excluding avatars from this is somewhat curious.

And while we're at it, I'd absolutely love to be able to block some people from sending things to my PM list.

Let's establish a precedent here: Will people who have pornographic avatars be banned? Those so far have fallen to peer pressure, but would someone who didn't be banned, and or pushed into it? Let's get this answered, so I don't have to change my avatar, and MAKE you answer it.

Fenrir, the images in question were avatars, which are never links, and a little phallic image PHC posted in that "Come out of the closet thread", which was directly posted. In case you missed it, ask PHC, and I'm sure he'll show it to you *wink*.
