Sounds interesting to me. Let me know when you've released a demo or such Big grin

I will. I think this will be pretty successful for a first game.

First games are your foundation, Eggie. They serve exactly the purpose to show you what you did right, and what you need to work on next time around.

I'm not saying give it your best shot! Definitely do that! Just be determined to build from it later.

Oh damn, man. If this goes well, I'm making a frickin' sequel, and if it doesn't, I'm still making a sequel. And they're all gonna have Monstera, Me, and Linkin Park in it. BOOYAKA!

Whoah! Nice lookin', there. Although the hero graphics could use some work - they look rather flat and undetailed - the enemies and background look great.

Wow; there is a big difference in detail between the hero graphics and the enemy graphics...the enemy graphics look great, but the hero graphics look just plain bad. The battle backdrop is acceptable but boring; maybe grafetti on the wall or a trash can would liven it up.

Probably the problem with the hero graphics is that they aren't outlined in black. I looked at it that way and it looks a lot better.

Hmm, I don't know if that will fix it (of course I haven't seen the black outlined one yet but I can guess). I mean, your enemy graphics had kinda a "3d" or "2/3 View" look which made them fantastic (especially the bear), but all the hero graphics are poorly shaded and a bit flat...especially the hair. A bit more work, methinks.

Anyway, at least you are working. Me and Mr. B need to get off our lazy butts and finish up our demo (subliminal hint to Mr. B here... Big grin )

Hmm...you actually managed to get that to work with the texture and didn't run into palette complications?

You're either very clever or very lucky. Good job!

I just used a little of this and that. After a couple of tries, it looked relatively good. So I was happy. Yeah. I think what my hero graphics need is a little shading.

Nice grafix. Unfortunitly, it seems that heros/enemies/npcs drawn with realistic body proportions, like you have, generally turn out a look worse than ones with exaggerated head size, etc. That way, you can add more detail because you have more pixels to draw. But those will look good with shading indeed.

Maybe your right...

My biggest problem for this is the final boss battle stage 6. That's the last part. I need to think of something huge to combine eight Monstera (furries) together to form one thing, like Neo-Exdeath on FF5.
