The lower your Kyu level, the better you are. So kyu level 1 is the best you can be. Dan levels are opposite and come after kyu, and range 1-9 (kyu levels range 30-1).

EDIT: Also, if anyone wants to practise a little before the weekend, feel free to contact me. I'd love to have a game with people. Just come IRC and let me know.

The 11 should be a our biggest Go day. We should all meet in IRC sometime before, and play the night away.

I played a bit of Go over the weekend, so I think I'm about... 25 kyu? Yeah.. that's about right. I'll definitely be able to make it on the 11th.

Kind of pisses me off that a simple Go client would run so *FRIGGIN* slow on my computer... Rolling Eyes

Go is pretty fun. More like a super smart chess at time though. It all matters how quick you get your strategy out I'd say. Yeah... But it's cool, I would submit myself, not so much for competition sake, but more or less for fun. So sign me up! BOO-YA! Hehe, that was there for dramatic effect. Haha.

With the day of Go weekend coming closer and closer, I was wonding about what time would work for the most people. That way, we can get a max of Go-ness out of the day.

I will be on all day, just for the record. The room in KGS will either be Castle_Paradox or Go Weekend. I hope to see everyone I can there.

i'm crap at guessing international time.
i have been practicing, played 4 games!!
the last game, at the end of game, my opponent pointed out some tips that would help me out. too bad i'm not too good at applying those tips into my actual game play.

Go online sounds very interesting. I have become a fan(atic) player of the game yet I do not know how to take notation as in chess. Any aid in that matter would be appreciated, for I would like to play.

Flamer: Seeing as how we both suck at the game (I've played 4 games in the last two weeks and lost every single one of them), it be interesting to see how we'd do against each other.. Raspberry!

eldritch: I don't think you need to know how to take notations. KGS keeps records of every single game that you or anyone else plays on the server, and you can download them if you have something to view SGFs with.
