Fenrir typed somthing about using a 'search' function on top of the boards. What is this? How do you use it? If there is a way that any user can find only games with downloadable demos, then I think that the current system is just fine. If not, then I am not sure. I'd say that the most fair solution would be to split the gamelist in two (ones with downloadable demos, ones without); I think someone suggested that earlier, so I guess I'm just agreeing with him/her. But maybe that's more trouble than it's worth.
As for games with two entries because of an update, I'd say contact the author. In rare cases, there may be a reason (say the author switched over to some kind of new system, and was not sure which was better, so they wanted both up and they wanted feedback on which system is more fun for others. Don't forget that some people may post their games on here for game-testers other than castle-paradox people to download. Or do they? I don't know). |

The search function is completely and utterly broken. I gave IM about 4 different solutions, but he didn't want to use any of them, so send hate mail to him if you want to see it fixed. _________________

Thanks for clearing that up. I thought I must be pretty stupid to not be able to find a search button. IM, is there any way to make this work?
PS: That was my hate mail (or post, as the case may be). Ha!
PPS: Just joking around. But I do think such a button sould be nice. |

Use the search options, whereon you can sort the gamelist more or less as you would like, by grade, # of reviews, downloads, etc. |

Wow, I feel pretty dumb. I tried it, it seemed to work. At least, the game searching part, although I think that after such a search the 'starting letter' links at the top ought to keep the same criteria (I tried, they didn't). RPGCreations, what were you referring to about it being broken? |

Gamelist-searching is working just fine. He meant the function for searching posts. That's the one that completely and utterly broken. Go on, try it out. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |
