EDIT: woohoo, i'm getting the hang of this paintprogram now! added an upside-down guy (the upsidedownness being suggested by a cute screencap from 'gravitation' i saw in lj somewhere), and a bishonen version of myself (basically just minus facial hair). this tablet (and pixia) rocks!

komera: I recall you've had a few portraits (the one i particularly remember is a character that looked like he was saying LETS GO!). I like most of your character drawings i've seen but are comparitively indifferent to the iconical drawings (eg. your current avatar)
phew, that reminds me i need to draw my characters in more dynamic poses. |

I base my avatar upon either a) something funny that I make that parodies someone else's avatar (*coughShadow'soldKefkaavatarcough*), b) a character of mine (*coughGlenncough*), or c) I just use Palom, because he looks like I did when I was like...what... 7? When I was younger, anyway.
All stereotypes suck.

Mine, in combination with my user title, was my original name idea for Zantetsuken way back (Seraphim). It was dropped for Shadowiii (though I don't know why. Seraphim is way cooler. )

you mean so2's claude? i didn't draw that one. i pulled it out of a so2 doujinshi and colored it. in fact, it's actually pretty rare for me to use one of my own drawings for an avatar. sure i'm good enough to draw one, but typically my own art doesn't look as good on a small scale. for example, the last avatar i had, i drew it, and it didn't really work small scale, did it? my current avatar is from a wood engraving from an old (1600-1700s i believe) beastiary. this avatar is currently also my default lj avatar.
