You should know that it takes two stabs to take down a two-headed hamster, fool!

You weren't stabbed, you were bitten.

Oh, so Komera bit me and you stabbed her?
But that still doesn't change the fact that I won't go down until I get stabbed twice. Neutral

(But how would being bitten stop me from talking? What? Did I get bitten on the mouth or something?)

I meant it was impressive that *she* could still talk.

Being bitten by a gryphon would also make it hard to talk; gryphons are what, 800 pounds?

Not to wreck the banter here, but...

From Rinku's list, the one where Monterey Penguin was the only memorable character, I have to dispute that. I think Ampersand is a GREAT character; she's definitely worth remembering. And, consequently, worth featuring in this welcome game.

Also, I saw Super Walrus Man in that lineup, but he really shouldn't be featured without Bob Surlaw. So I nominate that guy/fish/thing as well.

The girl from The Last Job was also memorable to me (except her name), and Nitron from The Last Blitz (the guy who looked like Blade on steroids) was of interest, though I'm sure his memory is long gone. They're cool enough to be revived, though.

Oh well, if you want this guy, http://www.castleparadox.com/gamelist-display.php?game=11, you're more than welcome to it. He was a cult hero once.

For some reason, the words "cult hero" made me think of Powerstick Man even before I clicked on the link or noticed who it was who posted it.

I third Powerstick Man.

Pepsi, looking at your sig, have you looked at lulu.com? Better prices than Cafepress.com (in the sense that you keep more of the profit). Also, speaking as a consumer, calling your books a "collection of junk" kind of discourages purchasing them (even though I know they are not, having read some of your short stories a few years ago). But that just may be my personal dislike of all self-denegration.

Komera is a gryphon RUNT.

Also, I bit T.H. in the gut.

And you mean this isn't Bob Surlaw?

And where was P.R.'s link going? I clicked it and got DEBUG MODE.

Remove the comma at the end of his link.

So Komera wouldn't be able to carry someone while flying?

That's also where I stabbed you, sort of.

Whatever a minuature horse can carry (a small child?), Komera can carry.

Gah, sounds like I'm talking in third person.

Yes, I have looked at lulu (partly by James pointing me in that direction). I have definite plans to transfer everything over there, but not before I can put the books through another edit. As much as I liked the cafepress versions initially, I have to admit that they're starting to feel overwritten to me, so I have to do a lot of trimming to make them better. Plus, there are a few logistical problems with one of the stories in the first book, not to mention there's another story that I just can't bring myself to like, so I want to rewrite that one from scratch for the lulu version.

There's also the element of having to resize everything, since lulu doesn't have 5x8 versions, which my books are in. That means wrecking the current layout.

After my third book is released next month (which won't be overwritten like the first two), I'll start dabbling in the rewrites. It'll be a slow revision process, of course, because I really don't want to spend anymore large chunks of time with these old stories. Most likely I'll start releasing them to lulu during the second half of 2008.

They're called the "Collection of Junk" simply because that's what I called them back in the days when they weren't meant to be paperbacks. It was just my brazen sense of humor kicking in. I kept the name for the cafepress versions because that's the name that identified them all these years. I've considered changing (and am still considering changing) the subtitle if I decide to market them beyond my circle of friends and family. For now, though, they're not mainstream material, and thus I'm not too worried about the off-putting nature of the titles.

Plus, the Library of Congress recognizes them as the Collection of Junk, so I'm stuck with it for now.

Okay, this time I've got two legitimate (and yet don't stress yourself over it... as a matter of fact, the second one is more of a joke but the first is definitely serious) suggestions:

1) Centaurus, was that his name? Anyway, the centaur from Ends of the Earth

2) I am the Renamon...
