For America it basically works like this:
E:
Little or no swearing (they say Damn in FFTA)
Some innuendo or revealing clothing but no nudity.
As much violence as you want as long as it doesn't have blood
T:
Can range from mind text swearing (FF9) to severe text swearing (FF7) to severe speaking swearing (Starcraft). Bascially anything but the F-word can be spoken.
Blood, gore, and violence. However, FPS can't have bloody decapitations or disembowlments, though most fighting or stratagy games can (think Warcraft III when you kill someone with a cannon tower).
Sexual innuendo or references, but no nudity.
M:
Basically anything goes. As much swearing as you want (including the F-Word), blood, gore, violence, decapitation, disembowlment. You can have topless nudity I THINK but not full nudity. You also can't have actual sexual situations (aka pr0n) explicitly.
AO: You can guess. Basically everything else. _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |
