I'm running a poll here to collect some data that will involve the site in the future. I thought that the best place to post this would be the front page so that everyone can see the poll, and this was also one of the more relevant places to post this poll. So I ask you this question: What screen resolution do you regularly run? Please click the comments link and vote in the poll. You get until Saturday to vote. Thanks! _________________

Perhaps you should just replace the "Skin" field in user options with a "Resolution" field. None of the extra skins work anyways. |

You did not include 1152x864 resolution, which is what I run.
In fact, it seems that half the resolutions my computer supports are not on the poll list. Eg. 1280x720, 1280x768 _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

I use something like 512xsomething or lower than that. The monitor I'm using is kinda old (There's a box in the back I have to put coal in to burn, to increase and decrease the contrast) But, if this is for some kind of thing, I don't mind having to scroll around to see everything, so don't do anything on my account alone. |

I regularly have to scroll back and forth all the time -- even on the school's big computers.
And there is almost never a reason to do it that way. HTML was designed to be resolution-independant. Surely CP can also..? Or maybe, because of the nature of the coding, it can't. I don't know. But it would be really nice to get it to be resolution-independant. |

I did click other.
I'm quite surprised at the number of people to vote- you've got a good selection of votes there.
CP (at least the forums- but I guess you may not be talking about the forums here) is resolution independent - on my funny resolution, the tables are stretched properly. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

Yeah, it does that on the school computers (which run 800x600) as well. However, that's not why I'm collecting this data. You'll see. ^_^; _________________

I run at 1024x768. It's best, I think. _________________

Well, CP doesn't line up quite properly on my computer. I always have to scroll along the side, and can't have a message displayed at the same time as the side-panel with the author's information... |

I run either 640x480 or 800x600, depending on the day.
CP has always been ridiculously badly aligned for me; but I am going to go right ahead and blame AOL for that. :p |

The resolution I use depends on my current mood and the weather outside. If all is normal, I use something around the 1000s (which is almost impossible to see, but looks better). Otherwise, CP has that ugly horizontal scroll because it does not support lower resolutions. |

1152x864 at work (where I am during the days)
1280x1024 at home. (nights)
Really, though, it looks fine either way. Higher resolutions are usually pretty friendly with almost any design. |

I almost always use 1024 x 768, but sometimes I use 640 x 480. I very rarely use 800 x 600. |
