Alright ladies and germs, step right up for the first annual Fools Day Contest. Hosted by none other than me myself and I. RedMavericZero. The contest is very simple, and has a slightly different tone to judging. This contest isn't neccessarily ment to be all out the most intelligent, but it is going to be one of the funniest ones. To get things rolling, let's explain the theme.

Comedy, Parody, Stuff that makes people laugh. That's the theme so to speak. And believe it or not, it's an easy one to start and keep rolling once you start.

Alright, the judging is a tad different and here's why. There are some things in the contest that are how can I say this... mandatory. Such as the following things below. Before you read those understand that, community judging is only 50% of the total votes. Whether or not the listed items below are somehow incorporated into your game and are clearly visible depends on if you recieve the other 50%.

Mandatory things for the 50%:
-Lock Ness Monster
-Scrambled Eggs
-Dancing chickens
-One CastleParadox Moderator (Must be clearly marked)
-A dragon (...

)

Oh, all entires must be sent in on April Fool's Day (4-1-04) or else your score will drop by 10 for each day late. So if you are a day late, you will recieve a potential of 90% maximum points.

If you can manage to incorporate all 5 of those things into your game you get a free 50%. Juding will take place on a poll, not so much as posting them on the thread. So, all you need to do is play the games and pick whichever one is your favorite. I find that more people vote this way and you get a "better" turnout. Seriously, Red. The next contest should be the Epic Marathon Contest. Until that one rolls around, no other contests! We don't want Pepsi to push it back again...

I'd participate if the idea was to have enhanced gameplay and it was serious. Otherwise, I don't think this is going anywhere.

No one is forcing anyone to participate. If you wonna do the Epic Marathon Contest go right ahead. But for those who do wonna do this contest feel free to. But to make things easier and more organized, please say in this post if you are or not. People will just have to sort out their priorities if they want to choose a contest or not.

Oh and for Wiz, this contest is not meant to be taken too seriouslly. Hence the theme, hence the due date. Anyways, for those of you who laugh at anything give it a shot.

Lock ness monster? Scrambled Eggs? Dancing chickens, and a Moderator cameo? And to top it off a dragon?! This should be cheese to make (hence cheasy in stead of easy) I'm in! This is how I see it. If a lot of other people enter, then sweet; competition! If only some people enter, then hey; less competition! Big grin

PS: I will try to do the Epic Marathon Contest as well. Is it ok if I start the April fools contest now?

Epic Marathon to my knowledge hasn't even started yet, and Fool's Day has. So yeah, start this one now. And based off what I know, you all will have some good competition in the areas in the game. And I have decided to add an extra 5% to anyone who guesses the dragon I meant. Ha ha ha!

if not, then its ok, but I honenstly will try to make something this time.

I tried one contest, didn't work, but this one I will give it my best.

Rest easy, guys. Epic Marathon will start on May 1st, so Red's contest will be long over before mine starts. Berate the guy who launches a contest in mid-April, not Red.

Cactic, yes you will get 40%, but an easy simple way to make up for that is to get the extra points I mentioned earlier about the dragon. And if your game wins the community poll then you can still win. The 50% just puts you at a slight disadvantage.

And for Ysoft, premade graphics are acceptable. The only thing that isn't acceptable is gameplay. You must have started a brand new .RPG upon starting 3-1-04.
