Heh... I'm just another mangaka wannabe... anywho...

I'm chinese, so read right to left =P

This is the first page of my manga, Devil Gear. I'm gonna clean it up whenever I feel like it, and I'm probably gonna change the text (I translated it directly from chinese, so it sounds kinda wierd in english).

What do you think of it? I know there isn't much to critique here, but any help is appreciated ^^

Like it. In panel 2, the perspective is a bit off, although it could be left that way - adds an interesting (good interesting) effect to the mood, sort of skewed. I don't know if you plan on fully detailing the demons in panel 3, but they could be left as-is: having them as merely sillhouttes would enhance the difference and fear the speaker feels towards them.

nice, the buildings and "shadowed" crowd adds a great touch of mystery to things.

the "devils" look a bit crude, but it's a very nice touch.

Heh.. the backgrounds are shaded well. There isn't much of any characters that I can comment on, but this is something I hope to see more of.

Me: Actually... i left the silhouettes and only drew the details of their... "devilish features", shall we say? It's to show that the speaker doesn't see the person, and only their demon personas. Maybe you'll understand as I progress ^^
