I may be able to help script but it really depends what you need done. I can't actually find your game, but when I do, I will comment.

18? You're more lethargic than me (and I'm 17).

What kind of plotscripting do you need?

The none interactive cutscene based plotscripting?
Or the other kind?

If you need more exact help, you could Pm me a list of things you want done (scripted) and I can send you a script. Heh. You'd have to put it in as Hss file yourself though. Not that hard to do.

Go ahead and request the simple tasks now so I can type them out for you. Happy

I would suggest a counter for the amount of times you are caught some thing like:

Code:

definescript(1,caught,none)
globalvariable(1,caught)
script,caught,begin
increment(caught)
end

Also maybe some scripts for powers, like being able to walk through certain walls or the like. The graphics are very good, although be more careful with capitalizeation in your text.

Wow that would be a great idea! I don't even really know what your boundaries there are with plot scripting... you see im not really very good in that section... i don't really even know the basics!! Really confused But i can put together a story and am very used to graphics... im going to have to let someone plot script the whole game!!

Thanks for the feedback this is great.. could anyone wishing to take part all send in their ideas (after playing the game) Leo exeption) and/or implement them. copy and paste scripts to me direct to my email... Any request the password for editing i will send to their email (is that sensible?)...

Thankyou again for your help i will work so hard on this game!!

Alright, I've played the game now.

You are right, an intro is definately neccessary. Retrogamer's Trailblazers intro is a good example of what is possible.

The touching property of npcs needs to be replaced by plotscripting (otherwise you'll just end up with Purgatory). I've already done this in one of my own games so I should know how to do it.

NPCs that look like doors will do better than conditional doors.

You should be able to go through the lasers safely between laser pulses (a step on npc with some read map block plotscripting or something.)

I talked to the medic and it triggered an eternal loop of text boxes (I couldn't even get caught!). Fix that please.

Cutscenes or tutorials would fit in well with the layout of your early maps.

etc

etc

ad infinitum

Yeah i just discovered that this morn... how strange! i'll post a fix imeadeatly... what did you mean by NPC's as doors? those ideas sound great but i couldnt do it atall... do you think we could partnership this game? do you have the time? I would have asked jabbercat but he is working on another game... i sent him a list of possible implements... i dont think i can remember all of them, here goes:

* Two characters start in the same hospital, they must first find each other (maybe just see each other over walls or something). Then they could help each other escape by using there own unique skills/powers which inevitably got them there in the first place (they dont know this though) E.g. Stoping certain electrical devices/walking through certain walls.

* Jabbercat suggested there should be a counter for each time you are caught, then i added: if you are caught more than a set number of times security is increased/doubled.

* The main objective is to escape, but a whole conspiracy unravels where your powers and memory is linked to...

*Hell it could turn out that the whole hospital is a space craft taking you to a mysterious planet undiscovered!!! Nerr dont want to give the plot away, that is idiotic...

<-Theres all the ideas anyway. Whether or not there sensible/useable is up to us...

Can you do this? I'll post the update/fix later on... Do you want me to PM you the Edit pastword?

I (finally) played Perfect night today. Your walkabout graphics are cute, but you need in battle hero graphics. This game has potential, and I'm sure that when it is complete, you will get decent reviews. (At least I hope so Oookay... )
