Hence the two pieces I am showing you.
The first one is my best, but I needed to show you the second one, because it used the same amount of layers and filters, yet it turned out to be lack luster, in my oppinion.

Not really. Theres not much to say L man. As usal uour stuff is well drawn. And i'ld like o know the secret of that fire there.But in all truth there's more filters than drawing in these pics (the second one for starters).Wheres the other part of Mr. T (for turtle) 's leg? or his he jumping or summat?

I see what you mean. Yes; Mr T is jumping. Keen observation, as I realize how difficult it is to tell with all the light in this picture. The layer over the picture its self is very bright. The secet of the fire can be found in the use of many many filters. namely Gaussian blur, glass, and render clouds.

The second picture doesn't look at all like a salamander taking a dunk in a pool of blood. Firstly, it looks like a wookie? Secondly, there's WAY too much emphasis on the pre-generated background. The picture should concentrate more on the figure, so close in on him more, cut down the sides a bit. Also, you may want to darken the figure up some, and even have the cloth at the bottom of his outfit be soaking in the red stuff. Moisture travels upwards through fabric, try this out with a rag and some water, you'll see. As it is, the picture looks more like you chose a background and then just pasted the image on top. It doesn't look right. Try to add a shadow on the bloodpool leading away from him, in the direction his clothing is shaded. That would make it look more believable. I do like the idea though, and that filter can produce some nice effects, you just need to work with it some more. Hyperthanks.
