I am using midi2bam to create bam music but each time I do, there is a blank space at the beginning.

What should I do to cancel this blank space ???

Thank you very much in advance!

When you load up the MIDI file in MIDI2BAM, there will be a blank space. You can't do anything about it, but you also don't have to worry about it either. It will not show up in the song when you save it as a BAM.

- Press F3 and load the MIDI
- Press F2 and save it as a BAM
- Import it in CUSTOM and listen to it. You will find that there is no deadspace other than what you may have left yourself in the MIDI file (I say that because with a lot of my pieces, I let the metronome give me a one measure clickoff).

Don't sweat it, just keep on going. It'll work.

Inbetween those first two steps you should probably press F5 to make sure the song doesn't sound like total crap.

Heh! Yeah, I should've added that. But I only hit F5 to see how badly it butchered my song, instead of hoping it didn't. Raspberry!

I wouldn't worry about that if all the bam songs I create hadn't had a few blank seconds each.

My problem is the following: each time I import a midi song it has a few blank seconds at the begining , and importing it in custom doesn't change anything.

Thanks in advance for help and advices!

So wait a second. You don't have to press F5? You can load up the song, and just press F2? If this is true then I have wasted many hours doing this. Damn.

Sadly, RMZ, I agree with Junahu. F5's only function is to play the song so you know what it's going to sound like. You don't have to press it.

Lol!

First thing you ought to do: check out midi2bam.txt. That way you can use the few, but extant, shortcuts that are in there. Heck, read the manual on any program you get, especially if it has any even distant relation to Microslop and Gill Bates.

*blinks*

*remembers he's not in Linux anymore, Toto*

No...I wasn't technically making rude comments about...a certain company...
