As you know, the game I am working on which is the sequel to my proclaimed best game is underway. It's rate of being complete is excelling faster than I thought. And just for you all. Here is a teaser picture of our 3 heroes in Halloween Quest 2!
Can I get some comments on their costumes and such. I know the art isn't the best, but let me know what you think of everything in general. _________________ ---------------Projects----

Well, it's not bad for MSPaint. I certainly like that one guy's costume ('cos I'm a Spider-Man fan). Don't remember his name, Josh's friend... |

I like the style you chose fore these characters, though I think if you're gonna go with a single, long eyebrow on one of the characters, you gotta go all the way (unless that's supposed to be a unibrow, but i'm assuming it's not). If you still go with the two eyebrows on the guy with the spiderman costume, the right eyebrow (his left) should be tilted the other way.
The costumes are great. Especially the middle guy's (that is bob the hamster, right?). What's he holding there, a giant carrot? I think you should change his pants to blue or something, though. _________________ My name is...

That short kid reminds me of Fawful from Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga. _________________

Thanks for all the feedback. And Max is based off of Cappa from SmokeyMcGoo's Grand Adventure. The forest boss for those who don't remember. And they look similar to the picture in the OHR. In about a week I will post up some screenshots for you to see. Maybe once a week I will post a new screenshot. Whether they are significant or not is up to me to decide. Anyways, yes, the middle guy is Josh. In a Bob the Hamster costume weilding the carrot sword. _________________ ---------------Projects----

ATTACK OF THE PUPILLESS PEOPLE. MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON ALL OF US!
Er...ok. Looks kinda nice. I'd much rather see a few s-shots, but that'll work. Being the teaser poster master of Zant (ie thats all I ever produced ) I'm kinda biased against the concept now, but nice work! The bob costume is awsome. I want it. NOW. _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |

Upon ole Shadowiii's demand here is your new load of screenshots.
Heroes walking in the forest near a save point.
One of the neatest cutscenes made so far.
Oooh! oooh! What's in the package?!
And this is a suprise character in the game. Can any of you guess who it may be? Haha.
Anyways, feedback is always nice as was the last bit I got. Please critique them. Oh and it will be a while before more are uploaded, so enjoy these for a while. _________________ ---------------Projects----

I still think you need to add pupils, or something... |

It's my style. I draw that way in real life and I find it easiest to draw OHR graphics the way you draw in real life, sooooooo that's why they have no pupils. Because in a comicbook I draw the characters don't have pupils. But comment on the maptiles, and other things. _________________ ---------------Projects----

Looks good so far...only 2 problems from me...
In the screens with bunches of trees (I mean foresty things) The way they overlap is really wierd. I think you ought to have the tiles show the hole tree(Or top of it) even in the bunches. Just looks unrealistic as is.
In the same scene, are those trailers? Cuz thoser some monstrous trashbags. (A boss perhaps? lol) If you have tile space, I'd recommend making the trailers some bigger.
I like the eyes. They add just a little more style.
I wanna see this game when its done.
(Ahhh this board needs a thumbs up smiley) |

Heh thanks. And to the trash bag comment, they are just really full, no boss. And the things you thought were trailers are actually shopping carts. The game is like 50% complete practically. With like 5 minigames, an awesome sidequest or three. And on top of that, at it's 50% mark, it's got 4 Hours+ of gameplay. I will try and upload more screenshots if I can get some webspace. _________________ ---------------Projects----

I can see shopping carts, now that you say thats what they are, you probably ought to make them slope down instead of up, ive never seen a shopping cart going up. Maybe put some food in em?
Oh, and in your teaser picture, I just noticed, please, please change the white on the shoes. Its too bright. Those are in shadows.
I'm looking forward to this so much, haha. |

Everyday the game gets that much closer to being completed. And what's kinda sad is I don't know if I will have everything in the game on time. But rest assured, the main story will be done and released on Halloween day/night with as much as I can cram into it. _________________ ---------------Projects----

WHY ARE THERE NOT MORE SCREENS? YOU REPLY BUT DO NOT BRING SCREENS.
I DECREE THAT IF YOU REPLY, YOU MUST POST AT LEAST ONE SCREEN! OR ELSE! I DONT KNOW WHAT ILL DO! I MIGHT POST ANOTHER ALL CAPS POST, WHICH WOULD BE BAD FOR BOTH MY REPUTATION AND THE COMMUNITY'S SANITY!
SO PLEASE! THINK OF THE CHILDREN (EVEN THOUGH CHILDREN ARE STUPID)! POST MORE SCREENSHOTS, TODAY! _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |
