I've looked in vain for the same thing. Is your ISP AOL or is it something similar there-to? I have AOL, personally.

Hmm.. I wish I could remember that one.. it had a rocket for the logo. How dialup accelerators work is they cache pages, and check once in a while for a new page. So when you go to a site, it's actually pulling it off the harddrive.

How to "Speed Up" your connection without 3rd Party Programs

Internet Explorer

Go to Tools -> Internet Options. Click the General Tab.

Then click the Settings button, shown here.

Then click the radio button as shown here.

Also, tweak the cache size, as shown by the blue arrow. Personally, I suggest anything around 1GB.

Firefox

Go to Tools > Options. Click the tab shown below.

Now, Firefox doesn't have any page-version checking feature, so you'll just have to tweak the cache size. Firefox will start you off with a 50MB cache. As before, I recommend making this considerably larger.

The End.

Fyre...are you serious? So they charge 5 extra bucks a month for a cacheing program?

(I knew about these programs all along...I had one when I had dialup. I didn't know that's all these "Speed Dial" or "Turbo Dialup" extra priced stuff is).

So technically it doesn't speed up downloads (of files) at all. That's...not...nice. Oookay...

Well... it isn't surprising at all. The only people who can change the speed of your internet is your ISP. The speed isn't determined by programs or any crap that the connection uses; it's the hardware.

Noise filter.

DSL modems usually need one in the phone jack if you have bad lines.

Actually, IE by default caches files, and rechecks everytime you view the page.
And the data sent through a dialup is normally compressed before sending through, at least on my machine. I notice the data compression ratio from my ISP is normally much lower, and sometimes 0% though.

no program will EVER change your dail up speed...
unless you change something hardware wise as well.

The limitation with dialup is the...telephone, ironically enough.
processor speed plays a very small part in the speed, where it would translate data into tones(or pulses, depending on country) to go into the phoneline, then it needs to retranslated back.

the only way you can increase speed is by...kicking your ISP in the ass and get a faster connection Raspberry!
