Take a look. If you weren't satisfied with the teaser paragraph or the screenshots, this should give you a better idea of what to expect. No new graphics, but the main page has a lot more of the "meat" of the game.

Your comments are welcome.

Thats really neat. I like the whole layout and the look of the website.

The only critisism is one with the game. I hate photograph battle backgrounds. They just make the whole feel and look of the battle fake. I think you should try to draw your own backgrounds... Or I could just be wrong, and that was just a sample of the battle sprites, on a random background...

This website is really cool.

I like the way it is set up.

If you don't mind I would like to
make a suggestion though, even
though it is cool and all, you should
place a forum about your game on
your site.

Really great layout and wonderfull
set up.

OR... he could just start a forum on his game here, and create a link from the website to the forum...

Thanks for the critique. I'm really undecided on the battle backgrounds. I don't care much for the photorealistic style either. I'm thinking of trying the "tilemap battle background" style, but I may break down and just draw my own.

Fighter, as interesting as it would be to have my own forum, I can't see demand justifying it. If it later does, then I'll consider it.

*puts a hand on Fighter's shoulder*
Indeed it is. Hey look! Dirt!
*pushes Fighter off a cliff*
Oops.

Although, personally, I think the colors in the screen shots clash a little too much. That is what I have to say to that. Nice going in making your own site.

Wow, this thread is old now. Fighter was my favorite incarnation of RedMage... oh, those were the days...

The site is updated now. Most of the sections have changed.

Wow, I must say that I'm rather impressed.

I love the color scheme. Very attention grabbing. Your intro is attention grabbing as well, and the quote is nice. As you go on, you keep my interest well enough. This page and your game sound like a lot of hard thought went into them.

The character's page is nice. There is not too much detail, per say, on the characters yet, but enough to spark something. "His purposes unknown, Archeantus is a complete mystery to all. Where did he come from and why does he threaten the planet?" That worries me. I sure hope he has a meaningful purpose. It wouldn't spoil anything to let us know in the next update, would it? Oookay...

PS: The new song, "Wandering Hearts": It takes until around the middle of the song to actually develop into something interesting. I like where you are going with it, though. It sounds very triumphant.

Of course it would spoil to let you know! That's why I didn't say. Suffice it to say, for the time being, that he does have a reason, and a very good one from his point of view, for trying to destroy the planet. That's the whole moral crux of the game and I'm certainly not going to lay it out for you on the website.

You can wait a few months, right?

Well, since none of the other mods or admins see it fit to move the flaming crap to its own separate thread and get it out of this one, I've taken the liberty of that myself. >_>

Just to clarify, I am interested in the game and I plan to play it completely through. I also think that the site is good, though not the best I've ever seen (the papyrus font is really overused). HOWEVER, people I know who saw the site found the lines I mentioned to be humorous.

Then again, the only OHR game I've managed to play for longer than one and a half hours was Thanksgiving Quest. Great game. I hope to get around to the other 50 games sitting in my little collection. I guess I won't play it.

Edit: or was I banned from making any comments no matter how intelligent on this thread?
