Interested in doing some voice acting for Mageclash Mayhem? Here are the characters:

Red Mage
White Mage
Black Mage
Blue Mage
Time Mage
Caller
Ninja
Moogle
Paladin
Dragoon
Archmage

The boldface characters are the ones that will be included for sure in the February 1, 2005 release. The italicized characters are ones for which I already have a voice actor in mind, but if you want them, feel free to try out for them.

To audition, send an e-mail including who you'd like to be and a few voice clips to perrya@cox-internet.com, minimally the following (in WAV format):

* Attack/Taunt (i.e. "Take this!")
* Victory (i.e. "That was too easy, you fools")
* Hurt (i.e. "Oof!" -- this should be brief and non-annoying)

Creativity is always a plus. Remember to zip your files. Optionally, if you'd rather, you can post a link to the files in this thread.

Heh. Sounding pretty good. You took me more literally than I meant; for clarification, you can make up your own lines. Your "Take this" was great, though.

Also for clarification's sake, you can try out for any part, including ones that have been tried out for already. You can also try out for more than one part, but you're very unlikely to get more than two unless I'm really impressed by your voice work.

My mic is lousy when it comes to my new computer, but I can definitely use it with the Windows 98 computer. I'll send you some files tomorrow, Moogle. You can place me however you like if you want to use me.

LOL @ the White Mage quotes. That's great. It'd be hilarious to cast the WM as this total wimp. (Never mind that he'll have some great abilities.)

If you're thinking about auditioning, take a listen at what Machu did. If you can give your character some real character, you're 200% more likely to be cast. I wasn't impressed by all of his acting, but I was impressed by his characterization of certain characters.

Keep the auditions coming. This is great entertainment.

You actually have a very interesting normal voice. When you try to sound tough, though, it doesn't work. You'd do better trying for a magician voice.
