These should have been uploaded a long, long time ago.

The Tutorials

There might (should) be more based on the reaction to these.

The tree tutorial was pretty good. The sphere and grass are so-so.

Tree tutorial was quite good. The grass one seemed to me like an explained reason why to use the airbrush tool for that tile. But good work on the trees. Perphaps actual buildings could be next?

Fo' sho'! I hope you can continue these. I totally like the information given. Very insightful!

You, sir, are quite advanced for a person your age. I wish I had real life friends like you.

PS: This might be a good excuse for you to make a tutorial in game format...
Meh. Or not...

Like ever other pixel tutorial I've ever read, I didn't get anything out of it. I guess that's because I always learn about art by myself or something. Actually, I don't recall EVER taking any sort of art lesson or reading any sort of tutorial in my life. Hmmm...

I think you just made me realise something, but I don't know what it is.

It's quite sad how few people know who to draw curves on round objects
I remember in primary school how my class were drawing logs (???), and every person in the class except me drew their logs like this:
Code:

|----------/-\
|         |   |
|----------\-/

The teacher was impressed, but I realise now that this was the point where I realised that everyone is an idiot.

Anyway, interesting tree tutorial. I'll think back to it next time I draw tree maptiles.
