In my free time I set up a website for my game, Guardia. Check it out if you have some time.

http://pages.stern.nyu.edu/~jj505/guardia/

To preface, some areas of the site are still under heavy construction. If you can, check out battle system, magic, characters, and multimedia. I'd appreciate any feedback you can give, whether it be on the battle system, the graphics, or the website, whatever.

No release, or release date as of yet. It's still in the early, early stages. Thanks in advance to anyone with comments and criticism.

First of all, nice website.

I really like the leadership/assist system. It seems you've done a lot to differentiate this game from the average OHRRPG. The stances look good, but I'm not sure if those are very balanced, for example, one of the mage characters could go into guard stance with pretty much no penalty (you're not going to attack with them anyway).

The graphics look great from what I've seen. I'd like to see more of the frames from the characters and maybe some maps or backgrounds.

Just a question. How are you doing the summons? I'm assuming you are using the elements for blunt/pierce/sharp (hey! That was my idea!), so it's not enemy spawning on elemental hits is it?

I'm looking forward to this game. Looks good.

Summons do use elemental spawning. If you check the screenshots, you can see how it works. The way I'm doing it leaves most of the elements open for use. In fact, the way I'm doing it probably requires significantly less time than the way most people do it but a little more work. I'm not sure I want to reveal how it works. It's not really that difficult, though I don't think anyone else has done it as I have. You could probably figure it out from what I've said, but I'm thinking about telling how to do it anyway.

About the stances... None of the mage characters have guard stance, so its not really an issue. Each character has only 3 stances, and each stance has benefits and penalties that will effect them.

Thanks for the comments.

Wow. I love the wealth of interesting, rare ideas. This game will certainly be worth a play through when it comes out.
Also, I get disappointed when things like story are not up on a game on a game site.
At least you had adequate character information to back this up. I can sort of see how a story has been formulated.

Love the website. I'm at my home away from home, or I'd add a bookmark. Could you e-mail me (or in any other way PM me, in case I miss the launch of this very promising game)? I'm likely to forget, knowing as how I have horrible memory problems.

PS. You have a typo on your website: Guardia | Battle System | Status Afflictions. I'm not trying to critique, but I happened to notice this, and for as professional a design for a game website, I'd hate to see something small like this confuse people ("sever" instead of "severe").

Adrianx: Guardia means security guard in tagalog? I had no clue. But I guess it was bound to happen in some language.

phyrfox: Thanks for pointing out the typo. I'll scan through it later to look for any other such problems. Also, a demo shouldn't be out for a while, but I'll contact you when there is one.

leroy_leo: I'll try to get story information up soon.

Three things:

A) The site design is really awesome. I like the magic selection menu in the character profiles.

B) The game sounds pretty awesome, too. I may just have to give this one a playthrough.

C) On a scale from one to awesome, you are super-great!
