Okay, I know you're already overly nauseated by my artwork, so I'm going to punish you with more.
Redworld is a sci-fi/fantasy RPG that I am making with the RPG Toolkit (most reasons have to do with voice acting and MP3 music). Without revealing too many details, it's pretty much the misadventures of a young man in a vast world, set in a late-1700s setting (I seem to like that setting for some odd reason). In essence, you find that the planet this takes place on is Mars (no, I didn't spoil anything. That fact is only an extra tidbit outside the plot).
But anyway, I doodled up a sketch of the main character here:

but ended up using the picture to make a desktop wallpaper:

Hey. Not bad. Something I can stand, anyway.
The effects look awesome with the moon background and the atmosphere I get from this is great.
The character's pose is a little tipsy. He looks like he had a long day. o.o _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

My only complaint I can think of that could be easily amended it that Mars doesn't look rusty enough. It's a chunk of rust and dirt.
Sounds like it may turn out good enough. I never actually played through any of your games, so I don't know how good you are at making games, but I remember my sister, who is an RPGer, much more than myself (not an accomplishment) really liking Neo Krysta. I guess I'll go play it again sometime. _________________ "Everyone has 200,000 bad drawings in them, the sooner you get them out the better."

You're getting better Setu. But I think the guy's feet look a bit small.

That is super hardcore art there. I love it.
The guy looks very well done. He just looks like he's leaning over a bit to far back. He needs an attacking, more aggresive stand - Leaning slighty forward if anything.
Hands are a bitch. I cant comment on yours... heh, simply because I dont have a clue how to do them myself. _________________

RPGSpotKahn: I would give him a more aggressive stand, but that would go against his character. Alec is not really the aggressive type. He's more the gentle type, but will act aggressively if it became very necessary.
Orion: Go right ahead. I actually thought about having him as my avatar, but I changed my mind about it.
Joe Man: Don't waste your time playing Neo Krysta. It wasn't really that good (in my opinion). Neo Krysta 2 turned out okay, and NK3 would've been wonderful had I not flushed the plotscripting down the toilet by accident, thus making the game impossible to continue production. Also, in this particular story, there's much MORE to Mars than dirt and rock (much like seas, mountains, forests, creatures, etc.), and you'd have to play the game to find out why (when I finish it of course), because the story is intertwined with those abnormalities.
Sephy: Hands were always a problem. The only comfort I take in that fact is that most people has a bit of difficulty with them.
LeRoy: Believe it or not, I actually intended the pose he's standing in. I wanted him to appear as someone who's been through a lot of hard times and attempts to maintain composure.
Now, for the opening and closing sequences, I chose two songs, which I DID edit for the video's sake. However, I also uploaded the full versions of the songs.
These are the full versions.
"Last", performed by Off Limits. Recorded at Redhouse Studios in South Korea. I downloaded it off the Nuendo forums that I'm a part of. For the Opening video.
"Paperthin Hymn", performed by Anberlin, on their new album "Never Take Friendship Personal". For the closing video.
I figured since I'm not selling this game, it won't matter if I use that music as it would be the same as ripping MIDIs for use in OHR games. _________________

May I ask what program you used? It seems like a decent graphics package. Something I might be interested in... _________________

Ahh... Photoshop 8... downloaded it yesterday. The CS version (Think they are the same thing). Very cool.
Im trying to stack on the graphics programs on my PC. currently I have Jasc PaintShopPro9, PhotoshopCS (+Imageready), Maya5 and 3D studio max 6.
Strange though... most of the time I just load up normal MS Paint to create a drawing - Must be habbit. _________________

http://www.polykarbon.com/tutorials/ has some good tutorials on hands, and drawing characters in general. I actually draw a hand as three ovals, one for the fleshy part below your thumb, the part next to that, and a long oval below the fingers. then I add the fingers in, keeping in mind the different lengths. Sorry, its hard to explain, and I'm not great at it myself, but I hope that helps. _________________ Ssalamanderr's Journal!: http://www.livejournal.com/users/ssalamanderr/

Very interesting hand technique, Ssalamander. I have to look into this some time.
The song: Woa. Very smooth. Probably the smoothest I've ever heard of your scores, Setu. This piece is very ambient and beautiful. Why are all of your songs that way?
PS: Setu. I envy you. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

Well, they all just happen to turn out that way. That's the way I love to compose (the whole ambience thing). Every once in a while, I try to do something different. I probably should try more often. _________________
