|
|
Voting and Scoring
Voting this time is a simple, straightforward ordeal. You will be voting in three categories, depending on which division a game is placed in, and listed as 1st 2nd or 3rd place in that division. Your voting sheet will be set up like so:
New Game
-1st
-2nd
-3rd
Remake
-1st
-2nd
-3rd
Expansion
-1st
-2nd
-3rd
1st place is worth 3 points, 2nd = 2, and 3rd is 1 point. You may only vote ONCE, and I will not be accepting PMs or Emails about your votes. Yes, you can vote for your own game. Voting shall begin May 1st and will end on the 7th, to allow people enough time to play the games and vote on them.
After the votes have been tallied and the points added up, any deductions incurred on your behalf will be subtracted form your score. At this point, a maximum number of deducted points can be four, so if you feel you can beat out your competition by a wide enough margin then more power to you.
Prizes
The 1st Place Winners in the NEwgame, Remake, and Expansion divisions will recieve $25 USD sent by mail to your home adress. I will be coordinating with you personally regarding this. If there is no entrant in a specific division, then I keep the prize money. If you are the only entrant in your division by the time the contest is over, then you get the prize just the same as if you had won. I fully expect the bulk of the entries to be in the New Game, followed by the Expansion catagories. I will no longer be sending things directly from the CP store due to mailing issues, however there MIGHT be something worth looking into there by the time this contest finishes.
And now for the categories:
*original
Shadowiii vs Santa Barbara Airport DX (-4) (3 months, early leak)
RAYP HUR (-3) (2 months, early leak)
Super Concentration Headache Master Pro (-2) (1 month, early leak)
FFXXX-2 (-1) (1 month)
OHRhouse2 (-2) (1month, early leak)
P the Super Virus 3 (-2) (2 months)
Horrible Fantasy (-1) (1 month)
Nameless Slime Gaiden (-1) (1 month)
Racing Gon Extreme (-1) (1 month)
Violence (released on time)
Get in the Hole (-1) (1 month)
Dr Rape (released on time)
OHR IRC Simulator (released on time)
*remake
MrTriangle's adventure (-3) (2 months, early leak)
*expansion
Barely Legal Bitches (-3) (3 months)
As a side note, since there were only one entry each in the Remake and the Expansion categories, those entrants win by default. RMZ, I will be sending your $25 within the week, and as for myself, I keep the dough. The rest of ya'll get to fight over the other $25, so vote for your 3 favorite "terrible games" in the 1st, second, and 3rd places. Voting ends on the seventh of may, so get to playing.
Good luck, flame warriors. |

2. Super Concentration Headache Master Pro (-2) (1 month, early leak)
3. Shadowiii vs Santa Barbara Airport DX (-4) (3 months, early leak)

You can't vote for BLB; it's not in the "original" category. _________________

Wait, how did JSH enter both RAYP HUR and OHR House 2? Don't the rules state one entry per division?
1 - SCHMP
2 - Shadowiii vs Santa Barbara Airport DX
3 - Nameless Slime Gaiden _________________ Locked

Releasing it early gives a penalty. Did you release it early? _________________

On Mar 19, 2005 you stated:
Ysoft_Entertainment wrote: | "I will enter too. and I will put as little work into it as possible, so I will be sure that its the worst game ever created. I will enter into new division." |
Though you don't lose the point for an early release, I assumed that this was the date you actually began construction on your game, as provided by the context of your writing.
Quote: | *2A* If you begin your game before April 1st, then you must notify us with a disclaimer in your game, along with the month you began actual work on it. You may also post when you begin on your project in this thread, if you wish to be on the safe side of things. It makes no difference whether you begin on the first day of a month, or the last, or in the middle, it will still be counted as a month's head start. |
Since you didn't notify us with any disclaimer otherwise, I took the date of your announcement of joining the competition as your official 'start date'. The same applied to everybody else in the contest, the same as I. |

There's a fine art to making a terrible game, something that SCHMP apparently did very well. You can't make the game outright bad, you have to trick the player into playing it a lot. SCHMP's success is that people kept on playing it, even though in at least two cases it gave them headaches. _________________
