My deviantArt can be seen here. Give me honest feedback on improvemets. This is my first shot at a furry. Also, this is only rough views. _________________ A broken clock is still right twice a day. |

uhm.. you're kidding right?
but!
in case you aren't.. i shall give feedback.
Ruff:
-it doesn't have any feet.
-nor fingers
-one leg is longer than the other, and the other is fatter (or just closer?)
-its body neck and waist are one and the same
-i think thats a tail.. use your eraser.. you have too many lines that overlap each other
-is it wearing pants?
Reddy
-is that a blob with a robot arm?
-if it is, then a check you get.. i took away the plus on the grounds that blobs can't really have robot arms as they are blobs.. unless of course it's made of jell-o.
-if not, then you suck at drawing.
just being honest. _________________

Maybe he's mimicking Eggie by using a DA account. Or he's serious about starting to work on a talent in art. Either way, c'mon, guys. Everyone has to start somewhere. If he's proud that he's now taken his first steps into the wonderful world of art, then let's try not to shoot him down now. Beginners are a fragile thing. Like infants. Kid gloves would be beneficial.
Ruff and reddy. I like the names. They're catchy...
In the pictures, I can tell that ruff is a canine, at least. Believe me, I've seen worse interpretations than this. I don't know what Reddy is..? I like the idea of the mechanical arm and the name "Reddy" makes me think, mechanic..?
~Some back up information without spoilers would be nice. Tell us about their characters at least.
You have a long road to travel, my friend. Right now it's hard to even start critiquing your work, as you're in what I call a "pupa stage". Don't expect too good of advice, as your art talent can go any direction from here. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

It's a cyberblob!
Also, not bad. Your drawings, albeit crude, have a certain charm that makes them worth looking at.

Wow. Okay; sure, why not?
"Ruff" could use some refinement. I'd recommend re-working the lower half of the character; he/she just looks kind of awkward as it currently is. As for "Reddy", well, it's creative. Maybe add some more detail? _________________ “Well. Think about it. Lots of things you can do with a stopwatch.†— Ianto Jones, Torchwood |

Hmm, I'd reccomend you studying preportions and anatomy more. I'd like it if you mostly looked at human anatomy, but if you're going to draw furries, then looking at pictures of dogs, cats, rabbits, ect. can't hurt.
I'd say that Leroy and no_shot are both right; as in you can go in any direction you want(medium and style-wise), and your skill as an artist can only go up.
Keep drawing! If it helps, try looking at professional pictures(or at least ones that LOOK professional... I'm not too sure if there are many places to find professional furry art outside of the net... but, then again, I'm just a sheltered lil' girl, what would I know? ). I know that this helped me out a lot when I was just starting, so it might work for you. _________________ http://www.oddwebsite.com/ddw.php?tjord=11 |
