On the Edit Font screen there are 32 character slots (224-255) that do not have any instructions for how to use them in custom.exe. Is there any way to use these?
I know with strings you can use the ASCII value to insert a character, so they could be used in strings I'd assume, but is there any way to use them in custom.exe? Obviously it's unlikely that I'd need that many characters in a game, but I'm curious. It'd be nice to know. _________________ Locked

Yes, if you press Ctrl-Space in any text field, it'll bring up a character picker, which has every character on it. _________________ I stand corrected. No rivers ran blood today. At least, none that were caused by us.

Man.... I can understand why Slime didn't know the key combination, but you Iblis, its inexcusable. I knew this trick for over a year now.

I didn't know it. Of course, I was gone when the extra font slots were introduced, so I kind of have an excuse. _________________

It's funny, actually, but I discoverred this by accident one day a long time ago, and then up and forgot I knew about it. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

Sorry, but the whatsnew is the documentation for CUSTOM (with the HOWTO) and particulars of GAME. Because it is format documentation, it is pretty poor and incomplete. (But the char picker is in there twice).
There's also the wiki, but aside from the RPG documentation, it is documentation according to YOUR queries, not a systematic approach. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |
