i'd either like it posted or like a link to where i could find a dowload of one.

If it's a choice between tile based and pixel based, then pixel based is your best bet. I'm no expert, but that is what I heard.
As far as a side scrolling code, that's a lot easier said than done.
Give us a little more information. Maybe some screen shots of anything you have, or sketches of what you have in mind. People need motivation, man.

yeah! i just wanted the script i dont even know if i'm gunna use it i just
kinda thought i'd learn something from looking at it and studying over it!
it would be great to see a super pro script,

gravity maybe make him jump three tile high.

James scripted a sidescroller engine a while back. I guess it's a little hard to find the link nowadays.

There are other sidescrollers on the gamelist, but none has included the script. Super Mario Bros is the most-downloaded sidescroller and is open for editing, but it sucks. A lot.
