I've got some good news and some bad news. I'll start with the bad :\
OHRDev.com is closed. I've put up a message on the home page detailing why, but basically I just don't have any more time to run the site.
However, that does not mean that I'm done with the OHR. Far from it:
Yup, layers. I haven't comitted this or anything, so don't look for it in the nightly. There's still a few glitches I need to work out (such as an editor, since I'm assuming that you guys don't want to hack your RPG files with a hex editor >_>), but the engine part is done.
Anyway, here's to the future! _________________ I stand corrected. No rivers ran blood today. At least, none that were caused by us.

Yay, layers! I wonder if you can adjust the Hero's position on the layers, too... it'd be nice to have him be below a bridge one time, and above it if you go around (even if you have to do it with a plotscript or something). |

Haven't you ever played Wandering Hamster? And went under the bridge in the boat (The one available in early versions)? That was fixed about 5 years ago <.< >.> _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

I always used NPCs for this, so I never asked for it as a feature.
Thankies! |

Is it just for simple overlays for like trees n such. Or do you mean rain, snow, wind effects? Maybe all at once?

i'm guessing, since it's a full layer, that if we're able to animate them we'd definitely be able to make rain (or other such weather). _________________

I hope so. This does arise thoughts, but they're unrelated and I feel I should research more first before asking, so nevermind. |

Ack, I forgot about this thread.
Actually, both of these were jokes. No layers, yet. And, OHRdev.com isn't closed. _________________ I stand corrected. No rivers ran blood today. At least, none that were caused by us.

But pretending he didn't say that and we don't hate him now...
Perhaps alpha blending may someday make it to OHR? |
