As an aid to people who're trying to review games, could we use this thread to try and warn about short games, or games that lack a good way to be properly reviewed?
I'll start the list off with any of my games, except for Habla No Ingles 2 and Halloween No Ingles.
Also recently released and seemingly unreviewable is "PIRATES OF ARMAGEDDON" by Rimudora. There's nothing really bad about it, and in fact, it's probably right up there in my mind with such drinking related minigames as Chrono Trigger's "Soda Guzzling Contest" or Chrono Trigger's "Soup Guzzling Contest", but there isn't enough for a traditional review. At least, there wasn't in the 2 or 3 rounds I played.
I've just now submitted a review for Bug on the Wall, and I'm working on playing V-Quest (It has some REALLY annoying "quirks", and I may give up on it if I run into one more. Like an unbeatable enemy you can run into before the first save point, with no warning whatsoever it's unbeatable, except for a "FAQ" included with the game. And the Intro is nearly unbearable, with a fade to black between EACH textbox. It's almost like it's literally making up the story as you go. "THERE ONCE WAS A MAN FROM NANTUCKET." "Is that all?" "..." "..." "HE WAS FRIENDS WITH CHUCK AND ELAINE HUCKETT" "..." "..." etc. This is also addressed in the FAQ, apparently his Beta Testers told him about it and he didn't care.) |
