What EXACTLY will you be doing? Making the orders? Your Sonic Avatar doesn't exactly help, but, I'm still a smidge curious. What is the extent of this project? And could you reveal some details before anybody commits themself to something?

I apologize for being vague. I do plan on doing everything else; I just do not have the time to devote to graphics. This is not a Noob game, and I do not want to reveal any details about the game or it’s creation for personal reasons.

Note: Sonic Fans are a huge plus.

Thanks for the hint of sarcasm. I'll be sure to share it with Bin Laden at our next convention (Not really, mind you.)

But seriously, I'm just looking for help, I'm not forcing this on anyone, I'm looking for someone to help out of their own free will, and I would appreciate it if this post was kept clean of degrading or sarcastic tones. After all, I would not do that to YOUR posts.

You're not going to be able to scare up any interest in this project unless you post some details.

"Scare?” Excuse me, but I'm not trying to scare anyone. If you think that's scary then you must be easily intimidated.

I'm not posting anymore details; at this point the kind of game should be obvious. I have supplied only enough information in this post to find the kind of person I'm looking for. If I don't happen to get a response, then that kind of person must not exist in this forum, and therefore I will move on. This Forum is not life, it's only communication, and you would do well to remember that.

For all we know, you're going to make a pedophile promoting game where you go around and rape little children whilest combining guro and bondage with dead people getting done up the nose and girls shitting on each other.

Or a Sonic fan game.

Either way, no one with any exceptional talent is going to help you unless you post details. How old are you anyway?

I'll give you a hint; your second guess is much closer. Any work on this project is voluntary. I will disclose details in full to whomever I see fit to help with the production. If at the time the applicant does not feel they want to aid in the production of the game, they are free to leave. I always make it a habit to keep details about my games secret. This one is no exception, thank you.

Well, you still have to show a game, at least some sort of concept, before artists will sign on. Heck, Charbile didn't sign onto working on Sword of Jade with me until he saw the game.

And the best course of action around this community is to not have 'secret projects', you are really a lot better off getting the name and everything in the open. Secret projects won't matter until you're running an actual company where the existence of a game can determine your stock price. There is no such thing as bad publicity.

Hmm 'bad publicity'. This community thrives on that sort of thing, but I'm sure you can agree. After all you experienced it, am I correct? I'm pretty sure I could point out at least fifty members who would agree with this. It sounds very appealing to me.

Keeping his project secret isn't bad. After all, only Fenrir knows of my coming up games I haven't told anyone. He is being a little secretive, but he’d probably release more information to those who wish to help.
As for not enough information; you should know by now what it is. A Sonic fan game doesn't sound bad.

Though I'm not too much for fan games *cough*FF0*cough*. This new guy is only looking for a good artist. I'm pretty sure if you and Charbile would sign up, he'd be set. After all, look at SoJ. That game was awesome all together. If you don't like his ideas, then please don't waste space by telling him what to do and what not to do.

Thanks for coming to my defense, Zypher. I'm no "Fool." there will be lots of plotscripting involved. I don’t know why you would assume there wouldn’t be.

Well now, we know more or less it's a Sonic fan game. The question is, who wants to make graphics for a Sonic fan game? I've got my own project to do so... yeah.

1. It's going to be a sidescroller, right? If you're going to be making a sidescroller, it'd be a much better idea to use something like GameMaker. Using the OHR to make a sidescroller is like writing a college thesis with your blood. Sure, you could do it that way, but it would end up costing a good deal more in pain and effort, and will probably turn out worse than if you had written it like a normal and sane person. There's really no point in doing it that way unless you're trying to prove something.

2. You're much better off ripping the sprites directly from the Sonic games rather than getting someone else to do the sprites.
