|
|
Hello. How are you guys doing? I was wondering if I need to download the entire Hasta-la-QB+ package, or if there was some lesser amount that would work with Hasta-la-QB (basically, I want to fit my download on a floppy if possible, and I currently have Hasta-la-QB). I believe that Fyrewulff did something like this for me a while ago. Or maybe I only need the game.exe part to fix bug 220? (I really don't know what to do with those lumping commands)
Thank you in advance. |

You need it because bug 220 is really embarrassingly bad. A whole bunch of important scripting commands were broken.
You only need game.exe and custom.exe, which will easily fit on a single floppy. Nothing else in the zip file has changed in any important way. |

Just posting a thank you to the staff for the fix. But I'm still having trouble with one of my shops. It has the correct items, but some of them have strange numbers in stock. I'll try to recount everything I can about this:
1. The shop is shop number 2 in the editor (the third shop)
2. It is an equipment shop, and so has the options Buy, Sell, Equip and Exit
3. All other equipment shops, both before and after this one in the shop editor, work fine (they're all supposed to have infinite stock of all items)
4. The first item in this shop was a blank (because at the time I thought that item 0 could not be used). Now, it is available as the item with ID zero.
5. It does not seem to matter how I order the items. The first item in the shop is available with 15,000 some in stock, the next item has 12 or so, the next item 3 or 4, and the ensuing items infinite until the sixth item, which is again in the teens I think, and the seventh and last has 20,000 or so. This persists even if I swap the items around, or replace them with others. |

Stock is stored in your SAV game. That means if you make any changes to the stock available in a shop, you need to play your game from the beginning to see the changes.
It sucks I know, but when GAME.EXE loads a saved game it has no way of knowing if the shop stock data from the saved game matches the shop stock data of the RPG file. |

This has been a problem for a long time. I would suggest:
A) a debug key to reset stock
or
B) preferably, a plotscripting command that does the same thing, like reset stock(store) _________________
