I was experimenting with the use of walkabout-like hero sprites and came up with this hero set:

Here's the original one. Same character, without mask.

Which style should I follow?

I like just using walkabout sprites as hero graphics, when I'm too lazy to make new ones. I like the little guy... but the big guy looks better in my opinion.

I think that you could use the walkabout style, but you need to make the movements more distinct if you go with that style.

Well, I tried using larger movements, but I didn't want any of the heros' arms to extend by three times its original size. With smaller images, I can't seem to make the movements differ my more than a few pixels.

Any suggestions?

I gravite most to the first set in the original post.

Well of course. That one is supposed to be the cooler batch due to the fact that he's the older, troubled whiney teen version of that little kid version you see in my second post. The sprites in my second post are all kiddies, so they're supposed to be puny and uncool.
